A lower CG will reduce traction. However, more chassis flex and suspension settings that increase weight transfer and contact patch optimization (Roll Centers, Link Angles, Camber Curves, etc) will increase traction.
Overall I really like what they did with the T4. It's cool to see Xray be confident enough to take risks and do something different than what Tamiya and Yokomo are doing.

The only problem I can see with the new design is the upper part of the bumper mount.
On the old car it was up against the front bulkhead so in an impact it evened out the force.
The new mount is 5mm lower due to the new bumper etc so it no longer pushes up against the front bulkhead.
Might not seem a big deal, but I know of at least one person who has broken the front end of the chassis (Tamiya), because in a big front impact the lower bumper mount is bent up and back exposing the front edge of the chassis.

Yup, and the lower CG should allow more aggressive suspension settings (more camber gain, more weight transfer, more roll) for more traction and corner speed with less tipping.
I don't think Xray mentioned it but assuming there are no new suspension mounts they also just made the T4 narrower. This will also increase weight transfer and traction as well as allow for more tuning of width to balance the car on Asphalt and Carpet. All narrow on asphalt, wider rear for more rear stability on carpet....All of this is great stuff.

I'm with you on that one Skiddins, I will fit the old bumper, if the holes on motor mount from the T3 line up I'll fit that too, probably wont fit the servo mount either, IMO servo tape is elastic enough not to cause tweak but strong enough to hold the servo in place and by using tape I can get the servo 5mm closer to centre line.
Other than that I like it .

Can someone weigh the new and old bumpers whenever they a chance, cheers
