I don't remember hearing about any aluminum options for the '13, even finding CF chassis for the '13 is tough these days. The '14 was a better car, the '15 is yet better than that. I'm keeping my '13 for asphalt racing with a beat up CF chassis. If I were in the market for a new carpet car right now (which I almost am), I'd go '15 all the way.

Yeah, there are no options for an aluminum chassis for the '13. I like it for my 17.5 even though the '15 is much nicer. My hobby budget wont allow me to switch completely over. I have heard the aluminum chassis did great things for the '14 and '15 and have a machinest willing to make a aluminum chassis for the '13.

My question is, who else would be interested in getting one? The more I order the cheaper they become.

Wouldn't it be better to just get an aluminum chassis for the '14, and pick up some suspension mounts, inserts, and hinge pins? If you order from rcmarket, you can get the Arrowmax aluminum chassis and new suspension mounting for less than you'd probably pay doing a group buy on custom aluminum chassis for the '13, and end up with a better car.

If you guys are interested in an aluminum chassis for the '13 we can have the rx4 chassis cut out of aluminum now. This would allow you to use the '13 mounts or upgrade to the spec r R1 mounts/ rx4 mounts if you wanted to. Since we cut these in house now, I can fire them up any time now, for a very reasonable cost.

I am going to start running my car in USGT. What is a starting point for gearing with the 21.5?
Thanks.

Just the chassis plate you are looking for? I have one in near perfect condition I would part with if the price is right. Also have suspension mounts. Only scuffs from the battery, no scrapes on the bottom. PM me if interested for pics.

Anyone know where I can find an aluminum chassis for a T4 2013 spec? Is it even worth upgrading the car or is it too outdated? Thanks

I don’t believe anyone makes one for the ‘13. Avid was the first to make one for the T4 platform, but it used the newer style suspension mounts not used on the ‘13. I feel like RSD has a conversion kit with their own suspension mounts, but for a carbon chassis still (maybe it was for the TC6... I don’t remember). Aluminum chassis’ weren’t a thing when this car was out, unfortunately.

As for whether to upgrade, it’s not worth the price of all the suspension mounts. You’d also need a newer Servo mount for anything after 2014, and the motor mount may not work either. The 2013 still works well on asphalt and lower grip, but for the cost of all the additional parts to go aluminum, it’s better to sell the car and pick up a 2015 model or newer.

Sounds like i need to keep an eye out for a roller or chassis as a spare for my 2 functioning t4 13 models, they are 5 years old now and are not going to get any easier to come by.

Unfortunately I sold mine off with spare chassis last month! It was getting difficult to keep up on the black carpet that's now primarily used in my area, so I went to the aluminum chassis '17 model. On asphalt my '13 was still a great car.

I know that rollers come up fairly frequently, on here and eBay. The bare chassis' are a lot harder to find! I hoarded 3 at one point! I think you can still find some laser cut chassis protectors for the '13, it will help preserve the cars you have. That or cut some blank ones out. Not sure if the company is still around, but these were what I had for my car:
