Twitchy or on edge is subject to where it feels that way, because different things can make it edgy depending. With diff oils, more so in the rear, I personally feel lighter oils make the car feel unstable going into corners, so unless your fighting really low traction conditions, thicker rear oils make the car more predictable on corner entry.

Running a front diff seems debatable in the pit bench trash talk between heats, some like it, others hate it, you probably can't deny a spool will always give more drive, but I like the steering and mid corner agility, though I also like a front diff that also still works like a front diff, so none of the near lock up million weight oils etc.

Everything is subjective to how you drive though, and how much power your trying to put down.

We use 13.5 blinky on foams so I do not need lots of steering, only for the slower speed corners.

Trying to drive a car with over steer on high grip is not pleasant.

Hopefully my planned changes transform the car somewhat

I think the 1k is not thick enough.

I've been using this bumper for the past 2 weeks on my t4 as we gear up for carpet season at Horsham RC. The fit is perfect and it's very stout (i have definitely put it through it paces)

The CSO hard bumper is fantastic too. I put it through its paces every time I'm at the track (though I wish I didn't!) and it's held up very well.

So when the new 2014 T4 comes out, that will be the 'New T4'. Can we change this thread to the 'The Old Xray T4"? What will the new one affectionally be called - Xray T4'14?

Update...

I swapped the spool out for a diff and put hudy 500,000 oil in. The difference was night and day for me.

Car felt so much easier to drive and I got the car into the A for the first time in 4 meetings.

No longer did the front end want to oversteer and be pointy. Car felt easier to drive on and off power.

Exactly the solution I was looking for. I am using foams so it is a bit of a trial and error thing really as not so many clubs race TC on foam anymore...

Default Orange screws?

I have a friend that got a t4 last year. And the kid has some money burning a hole in his pocket. He wants orange screws for the whole top deck and the rest of the top section. Where could I find an orange screw kit for a t4?

I'm on the edge of waiting for a 2014,T4...then thought it might be a good time to find a deal on last year's model...wrong! They are just plain,hard to find...it seems xray does a good job of controlling production numbers...it looks like most all of the older models will be off the shelves before the new one shows up...both good and bad I suppose...no market saturation to worry about...grin...!
