IDk where you race but everyone I race with in the 17.5 class can drive.
Most of the A main at the 2013 carpet nats was from my home track and was held at my home track

Look at what I said, most. Do you think most people who can race 17.5 are fast?

I am from SoCal.

Lot's of the T4 racers in SoCal run Expert 13.5

The extra punch from 13.5 over 17.5 somewhat negates the need to squeeze out every last ounce of power, which allows us to concentrate on more important parts of the equation

+1... couldn't have said it better. 17.5 becomes expensive for a lot of racers since they're not focusing on the most important part-DRIVING SKILL. They get caught up in the latest, greatest equipment trends, don't improve, and give up. Once you've squeezed every little bit out of the equipment you've got, then its time to consider the "state of the art" equipment. Success in this class comes down to the racers that make no errors vs. those that make small errors that aren't perceptable to anyone but the scoring loop.

You're right I must've misread it. At our track there is no 13.5, only 1/12 scale but wish there was

Personally I'm not the best but not the worst, even I have good and bad days. Usually I get the speed I'm comfortable with and just drive. Most of the time I race against myself and try to beat my personal best lap and most laps. Usually I do get better week after week as far as lap times, but there are times where my heads not there and I'm just there to get away from home and personal headaches. But when I have a good day I'm happy with my progress since I started 6-7 months ago

I don't understand how you have enough rpm to run a 4.3 fdr. All I know is it was ridiculous how much motor you guys had.

What spares should I be looking at keeping with me track side for this car?

I do appreciate someone has already probably asked this Q, (and it is a relatively new car) but I don't have the time to wade through 260+ pages.

From what i've seen, in general the car looks strong but I have heard the front bumper can be a weak point, yes? And there is a brace that strengthens it?

The rear hubs look strong.

Front hubs maybe?

How are bearings fairing for guys racing the T4? (I know someone who had a few issues with bearings on a T3R).

Many thanks

The normal plastic parts, C hubs, arms, steering knuckles, spurs. From the start instead of using that brace for the T4 bumper I use a hard T3 bumper. The T4 bumper doesn't touch the bulks and in a crash there's a chassis cracking issue. Most of the parts are going to take the hits and you'll wear them out before breaking. The only thing I broke was a front out drive from a really hard crash, so I would invest in some metal ones (SPR Nikita out drives) or the hudy ones. Also belts are good to have just incase.
The car is a tank!!!

The RSD Outdrives are nice as well.

Bare in mind if you want to use astandard T3 bumper you'll need longer versions of the little posts that hold the lower and upper bumper braces in place (as the T3 bumpers were thicker)

The reason the motors run in that range is they were maxed out mechanical timing . And yes all motors were torn down and teched . I guess they liked my motor shims cause it came back without any.
