Hey all,

Had a great time down in Chino, CA over the weekend. First time running on carpet and first time running my T4, so I thought I'd post up my setup, and ask for some thoughts on generating a bit more rotation mid and out of the corner. I tried quite a few changes to the setup over three days, and the attached is the closest I came to a good setup. It's quite stable and has pretty good corner speed, but is a little tight. I'd like to try 2.5 all the way around, or maybe find a 2.4 equivalent for the rear.

I had a hard time finding a balanced between more rotation/steering and the car being too twitchy.

Let me know if ya'll have any thoughts.
Thanks,
Ethan

I want to try 1.6mm too. If the 1.6 has identical shape as the original, I could have my LHS CNC for me done with in an hour. even a custom version is possible. they have the CAD copy of my chassis done few day after I purchase the car

Can I swap out the standard plastic shock bodies with the optional alum shock bodies or do I have to buy the complete alumn shock kit?

Standard plastic shock bodies? The T4 comes standard with aluminum shocks.

Look for a vendor, I bought a 1.6mm top deck a couple of months ago.

You could try Martin Lissau setup from the ETS and nationals round 3
I drove the exact same setup as Martin at the nationals and the car was really easy to drive and to drive consistant.

You can find the setup sheet on Xrays setup page

RC Market in Hong Kong seems to get the new stuff before anyplace in the states does. Ip am not too worried about the new ECS shafts, but I have had the 1.6mm top decks for a couple months as well.

We used the hard arms F/R on both cars. The graphite arms act similar to the XH arms in the sense that they reduce grip on whatever end of the car they are installed on. These arms are great for high bite tracks where the car makes too much traction. I don't believe the Snowbirds was high enough to justify it but I believe most of the Xray team(mostly Euro guys) already had a setup based around these arms so there was no reason for them to change. Different strokes for different folks.
