The fit on the Nikita's with specr ecs are pretty tight. I moved to slightly deeper countersunk screws which helped, but still really close to bottoming out. Tips for getting more clearance? I think the specrs are like 51mm.

Thanks,
Ethan

You could widen the front track width a little by shimming the suspension mounts out more. It will affect handling, but not necessarily in a bad way. You would need to reset camber and toe settings along with that change.

Other than that, Hudy 50mm ECSs

As far as the t4 goes, I wanted to run 52mm ecs's in front to keep it closer to out of the box settings(with standard cvd driveshafts).

I can say though, after the build, the 50 mm ecs's fit real well into the nikita's running standard track width and, after parusing some setup sheets...that's where you want to be with this car.

Once my 52mm get home from christmas vacation I'll post a new pic and let you know the results.

I used to run 2.25mm inner spacers on my t3, haven't tried it on t4. Probably why I didn't have this problem before.

In the mean time countersunk screws did help a bit, probably .75mm more clearance.

Note, the other problem I had was the Nikita screws were slightly too long and bottomed out against each other, while not locking down the outdrives completely, another reason I changed screws.

Anyway, back to your regular programming.

Thanks guys,
Ethan

Just have Mr. Rockstar Paint do the driving. Word is that a well known, fairly advanced, X-ray factory driver from Wisconsin might be in attendance. Bring a low turn motor along to go with your hangover and you can really challenge yourself.

I ordered my T4 kit from AMain wednesday, due to arrive monday and I'm getting excited. I ordered some Side Piece Nikitas ( should be here today ), and just ordered the Digity Design bumper brace. My LHS is giving me a smoking deal on a pair of XRay ECS shafts, picking them up friday. Is there anything else I need to get?

Has anyone here ordered from RC Mushroom? They seem to have alot of XRay items in stock, but I'm always weary about ordering from someone new. I normally go thru Nexus or AMain, but alot of their stuff is out of stock at the moment

Any other parts house carry alot of XRay parts / hop-ups?

Not much else needed. Maybe a pair of the 2.5-2.7 springs and antother pair of 2.7 springs. Thats about it though.

RCMushroom is pretty good. Ive bought a few times from them and never had any issues at all and know of others that have done the same with no issues.

Also I know RCAmerica got a huge order in last week with the XB4 buggies and a ton of parts. They were closed this week so you may start seeing some stuff show up at A main hobbies here soon as I think they shipped stuff to them a week ago. There is also another order due in Next week with more parts and T4 kits.

I have ordered from Mushroom rc I have received my orders complete and usually in 2 weeks or order date. I like using them but the shipping is a draw back I order with a friend to split the shipping cost! I also nave ordered parts from Nexus RC in Atlanta Georgia they Have many Xray parts (almost all from what I see on there website) they take a week to the west coast.

Nexus is always my 1st choice. Melvin the owner is an onroad racer, very cool guy. His prices are always good and he ships same day if ordered by 3pm, I get my monday orders in wednesday every time. Hopefully he'll get restocked on everything soon as EA said.
