Hey, just wondering skiddins have you tried the 2.9 springs on the front as well as the 2.7 on the rear at Newbury. Seems strange using the same weight front and rear. Are you using kit shock oil in them as well? Cheers.Plummers

Still on the kit 350 oil.

Haven't gotten around to trying the 2.9 springs yet.

Yes, that's what I had in at the last round, in hole 2

The T4 TQ'd and won the Australian National Titles last weekend with 6 T4's in the Modified A main. In stock there was 7 T4's in the A-Main in a field that went down to an F Final.

This was the first meeting with the car for many and showed how great the car is out of the box, the most common change for the stock guys was running 2.7 springs all round and heavier oil in the rear diff and running the LTCR shell

These seem to almost be the new 'kit' settings for everyone

On some carpet tracks (haven't run outdoors with it yet) the rear can seem too planted, or on one track with chicanes it didn't seem to transition well. So we've gone up to 2.7 rear to try to improve the balance.

If grip is very low, or sometimes first thing before grip comes up, the progressives are better. But we are consistently getting better lap times with 2.7 rears even though it can make the car slightly more edgy.
I would certainly recommend trying them.
I also now have some of the other option springs so I will start testing those as well.

Try 450 cst oil, worked for me in the 21.5 EWS final, car was best in the final it had been all day.

(suggested by James Hart, who won the 21.5T A)

We had a big race last weekend and one of the top guys was also using 2.7 in the front and rear. I felt that I needed them too, but I had only 1 pair in my toolbox. I'll get a second pair next week.

I was driving with 2.3-2.6 proggressive spring in the front and 2.5 in the rear to get more steering, but with the soft springs, initial turn in was very slow. My LHS had only 1 pair of each springs in stock and I bought them all. I orderd a 2nd pair of all springs and I hope they are available soon so I can try them next sunday.

The track was pretty tight and I preferd the front links in the short position. My hometrack is more open with longer corners and there I prefer the front link in the middle hole. And sometimes I raise it with 0.5mm shims to make the steering less aggressive depending on the track conditions.

For that sort of reason I intend to get a second set of shocks so I can try both without taking everything apart

This would make sense with the sorex 32 tyres as the heavier oil will make the tyres work harder.

With sorex 28 tyres the heavier oil does overheat the tyres slightly, I found 400cst to be best.
