Like I said, a 35 will get you to 4.56, but you'll probably want to get lower. So I would start there, and go lower when needed by getting a smaller spur gear, a 78 would probably be a good idea, then move to a 34-37 pinion until you find what you need for that track/motor combination.

So, you might want to get to a 4.0 FDR, according to a previous Skiddins' posting, we was only able to get to 4.56 (84/35*1.9). Using a 78t spur, which I think will allow you to get to around a 37 pinion (78/37*1.9) you can get to 4.0. If you need lower than 4.0, you'll need a smaller aftermarket spur.

If I were you I would start around 4.4 (33 or 34 pinion) on your 78 spur, then work your way up to a 37 checking temperatures.

so in all honesty, and to keep me occupied for the 3 days until my T4 arrives, how does this thing handle with the box stock settings, primarily on carpet?

On medium to high grip it seems very good, I don't know of anybody that ran one on low grip yet. But I would recommend 2000cst oil in rear gear diff, maybe 1000 depending on the grip level.

Thanks!
