Default Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft for 1/8th Scale Electric Ofna Buggy

I am working on a drive shaft for a 1/8th scale Ofna electric buggy. Seems like a great canidate for a converision to Carbon fiber - the stock part is long, aluminum and flexes at extremely high speeds (somethign that might happen when the car leaves the ground). Early estimates are a drive shaft weighting 10g as opposed to 16-17g for stock), as well as being very rigid.

I will snap pictures when I am done.

Not a problem. I have made 1-2 Evo V shafts in the past and actually have one of the cars in transit - plan to make one for my own car within the week. Send me a PM or email for details to make you a part for your car

I can make a carbon drive shaft for almost any shaft drive car. I have made +150 over the last 4 years. For anything but the TC3/TC4 cars, I need to have a donor shaft sent to me to make the conversion to carbon fiber. Cost is $25 each +$3 return shipping. PM or email me for more details.

After a few years of limited "custom" production, I am studying if racers are interested in these carbon fiber drive shafts again. It appears I can still make them for the Team Associated TC3, TC4 and new Apex touring cars.

Cost estimated between $28-38 shipped per drive shaft.

PM or email if interested in having one made.

There was enough interest to make a limited number for Associated TC3/TC4 drive shafts. I should be able to make them in 1 week. PM or email if interested. Thanks again for the renewed interest in these parts.

Have a fresh batch of TC3 Carbon Fiber Center Main Drive Shafts made up. Cost is $36 shipped if interested. I might make a batch for the TC4 shortly if interest is there. I can also convert stock drive shafts for the TC3, TC4, APEX, HPI pro4, Tamiya TT01, Tamiya TB EVO IV and V, others. Cost of the conversion runs $28each shipped.

PM or email if interested

Erik

I might be able to. The drive shafts are the center shafts from 4WD touring cars. They can also be made for offroad 4WD cars, but due to the drive line shunts, I wouldn't recommend them most applications outside of touring or rally cars.

I just looked up the manual for the awesomatix car (it is the most insain chassis design I have seen since the preditor came out back in the mid 90s). does it work well? Very durable?

Looking at the manual, I could make a carbon fiber center shaft for this car. It should work very well. It just needs to have a little front-to-back float to keep the shaft from going into compresion (CF tube doesn't like that).

If interested in a CF shaft for the awesomatix, I would just need a donor shaft sent and I can do the conversion. Send me a PM or email for payment/shipping details for the donor part.
