I still haev one or two drive shafts remaining. ALso there are plans to have some new CNC machined parts for the Tamiya 415 series of cars. I have been working on a few prototype ideas and they look promising.

Default Stand offs for RC12LW or custom lengths

For those that are interested, I can make stand offs for the RC12LW or other 1/12th scale cars. They will run $10 per stand off + $3 shipping and handling. All that is needed is the length of each stand off, the quantity of each required, 4-40 or M3 thread and either blue or silver tips. I can also make them practically any length. Also $10 each up to 50mm in length. Email or PM for details if interested. Thanks

Yup, I was the guinea pig for the 12L4. They are beautiful on the car. I'll try to post a good picture of them installed.

I plan to start offering a aluminum screw kits to those that are interested. I wanted one for my own car, Tamiya 415 MSX edition, but had to purchase an excess number to get the right sizes. I plan to start with the Tamiya MSX edition and it will have all 84 screws in 7075 blue anodized aluminum. $28 shipped anywehere in teh US, slightly higher to ship overseas.

I probably could put together one for the T2 if anyone is interested. Just need to know the sizes and quantities.

Still a few more drive shafts available. With the upcoming indoor season approaching, there usually is an initial shortage of these parts for a few months. I have TC3, TC4, HPI Pro4 and Tamiya EVO4 shafts in stock, but I can't say how long it will take to make more. I also have one last remaining set of TC4 FT stand offs. Prices range from $32-35 shipped for drive shafts and $33 shipped for the stand off sets. Custom stand offs also are available at $10 per stand off (almost any length possible).

If interested, PM or email (ewippler@hotmail.com) for details.

Jonathan,
Thanks for the vote of confidence. You have a pretty cool project yourself. Everyone has to check out his 4WD off-road creation. Some real innovative stuff.

Guys I had Eric make a shaft for my Taymia TL-01 Rally car...Talk about reduced weight AND better battery life. I'm way faster with this car now that I have the Drive Shaft that he made installed. Buy with confidence people.

Thanks Sean,

Guys,
I jsut finished up a custom set of stand offs for the 12L. They look pretty cool. I also will have a few pics coming of an ultra light spur gear that I made as well as a lightweight spur gear hub for the Tamiya 415 series of cars (TSC legal even). Stay tuned

I can do custom shafts. The key is to have a doner. If you have one you can send me, I could make one for $28 including return shipping. Let me know. PM or email for further details.

Default Light Weight Spur Gears

I was looking for a way to improve my touring car's performance as well as create a one-of-kind part that would make it stand out a little. I came upon the idea of taking a solid delrin spur gear (ultra true and rigid) and adding spokes to it. The result was an ultra light spur gear that is extremely rigid amd very true, as it is machined from solid plastic instead of injection molded. The gear weighs in at 2.1-2.3 grams for a 100T gear. The lightest one I have found prior to this was molded, 3g and flexed considerablly, and wasn't true to the hub. If nothing else, I thought it looked pretty trick. Mot sure if there is any interest in such a gear, but I thought I would share it.

I may start selling them if there is interest. I start with a $5 machined spur gear and then CNC it done to what you see. They will probably be a little expensive as a result ($10-12 each) unless i can find someone to sell me the blank gears cheaper. I think they would be killer for 1/12th scale or touring cars that use 110-120T gears, where more weight can be removed. The one in the picture was actually a scrap gear that has some teeth missing. I wanted to check out the pattern and strength of the final part, but commiting to a fresh gear.

I can one off them for people if interested. They will be available in 64pitch only for now and only offered in white (the blank gears are cut from white delrin).

Default Custom Standoffs and drive shafts

Anyone interested in custom stand offs or drive shaft let me know. I am making a special batch for the 12LW and could make additional parts at the same time - saves a little lead time. Stand offs are $10 each, drive shafts range from $25-$33, and shipping is $3 anywhere in the US (slightly more for overseas). Thanks
