TC4 and HPI Drive shafts are back in stock in limited quantities.

Jeff,
You should see yours by the end of the week. Sorry it is taking so long - unexpected delays in receiving more tips. Probably due to the holidays.

I'm looking into getting one of these shafts. I'd like to ask a small question about their construction however, so I can assess their quality. Have you simply glued the ends of the original shaft to the ends of the rod or have you turned the diameter of the rod down a little, so that original ends fit inside the carbon fibre rod a little.

The tips are turned down to match the inside diamter (ID) of the carbon. I also treat the turned finish so the adhesive adheres better to the tip. Hope that helps.

I have been using this shaft in my car that I used at Vegas and at Cleveland. It has performed flawlessly. Eric's work is top notch

This week I will get to test my drive shaft on a asphalt track that has traction like car. I will run stock and 19T in practice so it should work the shaft out pretty good. I should get about 10 runs in or plus the 6 from last weekend. I don't think any problems will occur. I will post after this weekend with how everything went.

Special Offer

For a limited time, I am running a special on retro-fitting existing drive shafts for TC3*, TC4, HPI Pro4, Yokomo SG, and Tamiya EVO4 into carbon fiber drive shafts. Normally this runs $25 per shaft
plus $3 return shipping and handling. However, for a limited time, we will offer retro-fitting at $20 per shaft plus $3 return shipping. This is a great way to get the advantage of the lightweight drive shaft at a
reduced price over purchasing the entire new assembly (currently $30-32 plus shipping). All that is needed is a straight, spare drive shaft (nicks or scratches are ok as long as the ends are acceptable and it is
straight). Mail it in and within 2-3 days I will send back complete Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft.

* Note: several drive shafts were stock equipment on the TC3 over the years and not all work well for retro-fit. Please contact me for details.

Thanks
Erik
