Smile Shaft survived speedrun/-crash

Hi all. Last weekend we raced in a high banking, indoor bycicle oval track. Due to driver error we crashed our TC3. We broke our right hand side suspension, but the shaft survived and is still runnung true!! During the crash the car was doing +/- 90 km/h. The centre drive is still running perfectly true and makes the car run quieter and faster. The aluminium center shaft is very poor poor quality and we're very happy with our new carbon fibre ones!! !

Once I get the correct standoff measurement I will hit your Paypal via the quote you left me. I will post the standoff size in my Paypal payment. If for whatever reason I erased your PM I will just hit you up again.

Found the PM so I have all the info I need and what info you need. I will Paypal you tonight when I make it home from work.

Do you make a carbon shaft for the TC4 that is a direct fit or will I have to use the Associated part number you list and use the TC3 version?

I do make a TC4 shaft that is a direct replacement for the stock TC4 aluminum shaft. The TC3 version will also work, but requires the TC3 drive cups to fit properly ($6 retail price from associated). If you already have the pieces for the TC3, I would purchase that one as the shaft is $2 cheaper (TC4 tips are more expensive - don't ask me why). The TC3 and TC4 shafts are $33 and $35 shipped respectively. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

I do make a TC4 shaft that fits directly. It is $35 shipped versus the TC3 shaft which is $33 shipped. The difference is the cost of the tips - don't ask me why. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks

Thanks Erik. I will just get the TC4 version since I don't have any TC3 parts. Funny how sometimes things look almost identical but cost more. HEll 2 bucks is still no big deal. Can't wait as the stuff from the site looks really nice.

Still running your Tamiya Coopers at TCS races? I ran at RCO when you where down a few years back for the TCS race.

Thanks for the vote of conifdence. Sorry about the double post - my web viewer at work was having issues. My paypal address is ewippler@hotmail.com when you are ready. Just send me an email to let me know as well. Thanks

Still trying to run the minis. The last races I ran with them were the 2004 and 2005 Novak race at Trackside. A field of over 20+ M03 and M03Ls on both occations. The car was just dialed on the carpet and I was lucky enough to come out with a win both times. Check out the updated web site for a few pics of my rides. There are some pictures of a sweet mini body I painted up and showed off at the 2005 Novak race - it was pictured in the April edition of RC Driver magazine. Planning for a return to TCS racing next season after a 2 year break.
