Make sure the plastic inserts are fully seated in the aluminum blocks. Also check that you have the spacers deburred and in the correct positions. You want them pretty free. They will loosen up some, but now is the time to practice building and getting it right.

I found the drive shaft blades to not slide freely in the diff outdrives. A very little bit of polishing freed them up. Details, details, details...

Just decided to call it a night after finding the drive shaft blades binding some... then I read your reply. Go figure. Thanks for the tips!

I'm sure you could make your own shock towers and run x-ray shocks and springs if you really wanted to lower them.

I looked at your setup, for some reason when I run the Tamiya springs I have trouble keeping the cars ride height down. Did you have the same experience? Maybe it’s my build skills…

Does anyone make steel/brass battery positioners? I will most likely need a little weight over there. I am busy as hell at work and don't want to make my own. Thought I'd get lucky?

when i had my car i actually did try out super low cg towers and shocks. car was very flat through the corners just needed better springs but i feel it would be alot better than stock. i ended up cutting the lower holes off of the shock towers and mounting them using the upper holes of the tower and fastening them to the lower holes on the tower mounts then i ran tamiya mini cooper shocks. just for a test of course. but now that the serpent is out i would get a set of the eryx shocks and try it as they can use standard length springs and are super short.

Does anyone run 21.5t blinky with this car?

The track I am on generally have a 3.5 FDR. Is that FDR possible with this chassis? What Spur/Pinion combos would I get?

I just started with running 25.5, but will be running 21.5 this summer I think. What's your concern? I'm currently running 45/88 for a 3.7 (since I suck ), but you could get 3.5 easily.

Main concern is buying stuff that fits

I'm a total noob to on-road..

What brand spur are you using?
