the best 2 sites to order spares from if no one sells spares in your country is egr mart and spec r`s own site (payment is made to egr mart either way..) they always ship the next day if all parts are in stock

there are some hobby shops who sell Spec - R parts in the UK, but not so many parts and they're very expensive compared with RCMart. I usually get my order in 1 - 2 weeks from them, but this time it was 3 weeks. I have had an order in 5 days before !

Working on the minor details now. To run some USGT stuff I'll need to be in the 3.3-3.9 final drive range. Doing some fitting with a 86t spur, it looks like I can get what I need with a 46-57t pinion.

Looks like we have to partially remove the motor to fit 48+ teeth pinions? Or is everyone removing the top deck?
Since running a JRXS-r with the gear adapter, everything since is a major PITA. lol

I just remove the top deck to mess with the pinion or spur. It's easy to do and makes life much easier.

Is anyone running the R1 with X-pattern compound D tires? All the setups I'm finding are for stock/mod setups with slicks. I'd like to know what, if anything, has to be changed for this particular car for the scale tires. I realize setups are subjective per driving style, but I'm hoping to find a trend. Thanks!

I have an S1 setup for VTA running the HPI vintage tires and rims. I have the car basically box stock. 1 degree toe out in front, 3 degree toe in in the rear, 1.5 degrees front camber, 2 degrees in the rear. 4.5mm ground clearance. Stock shocks, oil and springs, 4 droop in front, 6 droop in rear. The car runs great for me.

Are you running carpet or tarmac? Also, are you running sway bars?

does anyone know if the s1 comes with drive shaft caps? (http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ....asp?p_id=1669) i am in the process of building my new s1 and can't seem to find them... not sure if i misplaced them or if i'm looking for something that doesn't come with the s1 kit.

i also broke one of the "ball-universals" thats used to mount the shocks to towers/arms... cracked as i was tightening it. will any 4.8mm ball stud fit? (kyosho, 3racing, abc...etc)

also notice something dragging/binding around the rear diff... i guess i need to rebuild it and file the gears down as instructed.

What do the instructions say about the shaft blades? On the R1, the blades go on the rear shafts for the diff metal outcups, but the front spool does not take blades in the plastic outcups.

Are the S1 ball universals plastic? If so, just order the metal ones from TQRC. They are cheap and worth the investment. But yes, I think any ball stud should work.

Good luck on the diff. Make sure you tighten it up nicely. Despite being built by a pro, my started leaking after a few runs, so I have to rebuild it.

The S1 uses the blades on the rear CVD's and come in the kit.

I also had one of those ball stud things crumble and I replaced it with some Tamiya parts I had in the pit box.

The car needs trimming and minor filing of most of the plastics to make a smooth drive train.

Spec-R is known for their aftermarket parts for many brands of cars. Probably best known for their gear diffs.

Doubt you find anyone making a ball diff specifically for Spec-R.

A lot of Xray T3 parts are direct cross-overs. Does anyone make a ball diff for a T3?
