The last time was in November before our outdoor track shut down. When I started out I took my car and my set up tools to a pro driver and asked him to show me how to set up a car. This is the only set up I have tried and it works!

I race with Jeff every race up here in Seattle, and his car is one of the fastest cars at the track and we have multiple big race winning drivers up here. If you are thinking about buying a car then his would be the way to go. You're getting alot of stuff with it too. Somebody should jump on it.

When steering, or when rolling? Just the fronts? Did you try swapping front to back? To check the hexes, make a mark of the high spot on the wheel edge, then rotate the wheel 1/6th on the hex and check again. If the mark is still in the same spot, it's probably the wheel.

On a similar, I just ordered a set of 6 and 7mm hexes off eBay. I need at least 6 to clear the HPI vintage wheels I have.

And TQ RC is taking care of my missing body post after Spec-R told me to contact them. Kinda cruddy, as it wasn't TQRC's fault it was missing.

Default suspension mount

Hi guys..

I have a question regarding the suspension mount...

does it change the track wide for example for the rear of the car if i change form 3 dot to 1 dot...

3dot with 3 dot is 3' toe in..same as 1 dot and 1dot also give 3' toe in....but it is make the track wide wider or still the same...

thanks

I've measured the different blocks and re-created two tables with offsets...

Hope this helps...

Got a question. This is my first ever on road car. There is a club were i live that races vintage trans am. They run 25.5 brushless motors in them. My question is what would i run for a pinion and spur gear and what would a good starting setup be.

Default Snowbirds

I don't know if anyone noticed but I put my R-1 in the VTA a-main at snowbirds, qualified 9th finished 7th, the car was working great for only it's 2nd VTA race. I wanted to try it in stock as well but ran out of time.

Also during the main I was closing in on a driver running an a700 kind of fun seeing the cheapest car on the track catching the most expensive.

96 spur and 45 pinion for 64p
72 spur and 33/34 pinion for 48p

Either of those will get you right close to a 4.0 final drive ratio and should give you some room to gear faster if you need to.

I just ran my S1 chassis in Oshkosh for the first time last weekend, stock setup per the instructions with the exception of a couple wheel spacers up front to keep the wheels from rubbing...couldn't be happier with the results.

Good luck with yours.

Hows it going buddy! Dont mind me for dropping in on this thread. I must say I saw rope's Spec R run last weekend, and I was more impressed by that car than the new Xray T4. Great chassis.

Rather good news for Spec-R lovers)))
We have just returned from Russian Onroad championship, wich took place near Tumen)))

Me and my s1 chassis took 3d place in Stock 13,5 class...
The car is mostly from the box, I just had to put some spares from yokomo (front bumper), because I was short in spares))
That was not easy, the carpet there has low traction and short hair? (sorry I don't know the word), local guys know the track well, and the borders are made from still. I love my spec-r that's a very durable car!)))
