For the price of this car if you have to buy a set of Spec-R DCJ's you are not going to break the bank doing so. Everything that Spec-R sells is sold at a reasonable price. I would be interested in getting one when they come out just to see how well it works. Also from the looks of it one could "assume" that its made by the same people who are making the car for Kyosho...either that or they are just getting the alum parts from the same place?

Doesnt Spec-R make some arms for the X-ray cars? maybe someone whos used them can say how well the plastic is.

If it performs as well as it looks, WINNER!!! Especially at this price point. Even if the plastics suck you can probably fit X-Ray or TRF suspension on it.

Is it that cheap?

The whole car seems to be composite rather than carbon fibre. Not saying it's a bad thing in some situations, however that's where they have saved money...

From the pics i saw the chassis and top deck and shock towers are carbon fiber...and all the bulkheads are aluminum and the rest is plastic.....and thats how every touring car comes even the 500 dolllar kits....with the exception of the A700 of course.

"Composite" is a term for anything that combines a number of materials. All carbon-fibre plate chassis are a composite, because they also include a resin.

Yep, but it gives me the impression there is less carbon atoms and more a mixture of glass fibre etc, which is cheaper. Otherwise they would just label it as carbon fibre. There is alot of cheap nasty chassis material coming out of that part of the world is all.

as a pancar rc'er and occasional offroader, i toyed with the idea of a TC. I asked around my local track and found that around $500 gets you a competitive TC kit. Ya, most of us can afford it, but to just try it out, $500 seems pretty high to me! $300 should be the sweet spot with some lower priced entry level kits.

If so this seems like the kit. It has a lot of awesome features from the cars put in on this one. It looks like it could be very competitive out of the box.

I've used and am using some Spec-R parts in both my VTA and 17.5 sedan. I'm not the greatest driver by any means, and I hit boards all day long.

Haven't broken a part in a while. Spec-R's quality has really gotten pretty decent. This car should be an excellent entry level sedan, kinda like the Sakuras.

i am going to pick one of these guys up just top try it out. hell everything now is so close geometry wise there is no way you couldnt get a car to work. its just finding the sweet spot. it looks good and is just what this hobby needs. too me tc cars are over priced as they are. i see no reason for them to be $500 because to me if its not american made then its not worth top dollar. im fine with $289 for something made overseas.

Dude give it a rest, every tc thread has you in it complaining about all the cars looking the same. What would happen if someone took some ideas from the a700, then you'd complain out that?
