Ended up just ordering stuff that doesn't come in the S1/S2 kit. Alloy shock bodies, clamp wheel hexes, some bits for sway bars. I'll order an S2 when I break something.

I'm a beliver in that xray bumper now for sure. Had my r1pro out on the weekend for.mod setup and that bumper saved me a few steering blocks for sure.
Ill have to look through for the pn to update my other stock car.

I put a car together for stock tonight. Kind of a mashup ill call an rs1.
S1 chassis and bulkheads, r1 motormount, servo mount and upper cf peices.

Ill build my full r1 stock car for trophy races but ill save the cf from club racing me thinks.
Wanna get a little more out of my s1 before it becomes parts.
Not that you could even still call it an s1 atm lol.

Ill say this much, there is a difference betweeb the s1 and r1 bulkheads lol. My s1 bulkheads seem to let the cf topplatr sag in the middle. My r1 is perfectly level heh. I might regret this mixup car but we will see.
The chassis that came with my r1np looks brand new. Would like to keep that for indoors.

Valk did you find that bumper PN? I know there are a couple and not all work on the S1/r1. Also for those looking at the S2, TQ notified me that they should be shipping this week.

K Bojar I have been emailing with TQ for a while. When I first ordered my S2 their website was messed up and listed the S2 as in stock and ready to ship. Needless to say I was confused when my order showed up and my s2 wasn't in there lol. Since then TQ called and apologized which was nice and then changed the S2 order page. they emailed me yesturday about the S2 shipping.

Valk thanks for the bumper info. That should be the last part I need to have everything ready for when my s2 arrives.

I ordered a T4 hard bumper and found it to be too thick. I ended up trading it for a 1223 T2/T3 hard bumper, and while the 1223 bumper is thinner than the T4 bumper, it is still a few mm too thick. Easy enough to remedy, though.

You can just shim the bumper top plate. Not a big deal. Just more meat to soak up the business is all.

Glad to hear it worked for you!

I had a good weekend with my R1 Pro USA spec car....I raced it in USGT and I ended up 2nd qualifier and 2nd overall after triple A-mains at the 2014 USVTA Scale nationals. There was all kinds of cars in the main lots of Xrays, Tamiya and even an awesomatix.
