I am just now starting to recharge some energy from a long week at Las Vegas. The new Xti did great. I showed up with a pair of them, one for 13.5 and one for mod. The 13.5 car started off inline, the mod trans. While I didn't lay down anything very impressive, here's some notes from my week. CRC has two styles of front ride height shims that were getting beta tested. A shim that goes between the horseshoe and the arm, but the range is limited to 0.040". If you bolt your horseshoe to the chassis, you can get from 41.5 to wheel. If you want to use bigger wheels, you will need to shim between the horseshoe and chassis. CRC also has a trio set of shims that go between the horseshoe and chassis. Juggling 3 pieces and 2 wrenches is not as easy as an old school phillips screw driver. I was looking for a particular kind of steering from my inline car that I would describe as lifting late and attacking the corner rather then lift a bit earlier rolling the corner. I ran all practice and R1 inline. Then I chose to build the transverse to see if anything could be gained in R2. I left the same tires and motor package in the car, same battery. It was a pure test of my style and chassis layout. I went 5 seconds faster, 0.1th of a second over all. So I dubbed the Xti a Play-Do car, you can mold it into anything to fit your driving style. Others were running inline and going faster then I was. Kenny and Mark for instance were really tuned in with the inline layout. I ran my car different every run, I kept changing parts to see if something would click for me. Its a shotgun approach and not very smart to do at a big race, but I learned a lot. I felt like the pit work horse, trying several things. Frank even tried his magnetic side springs. I don't think that they will ever become production, but he was faster then me with them! I might suggest trying more mod tires then the conventional stock spec type tires. Try magenta fronts, pink rears... maybe some yellow rears. Another combo tried was chrome front, graylow rear with very good success. Another tuning part on the way is various thickness height shims between the upper arm and lower arm to change camber gain. Use no shim and stock spec tires or shim up and reach for the mod tires. Check your laps and see which works better for you. Also watch for the new version of front springs; old = black, new = silver. The silver fronts are a little shorter so you may want to shorten the kingpins up to .400", the .407" with a black spring is still a solid number. Kingpin length is like drop to a TC, so pay attention to it. I've seen sloppy handling cars be cured with kingpin lengths. Most drivers were using lighter dampening fluid (5k-20k) in the tubes with the car inline. Some had luck with 30k inline so it's not written in stone. This car did pretty well considering it's been out barely a week in the general hands. IIC was only just the beginning.

When the stepped ride height tool for the back comes out...will it be in .5 or .25mm increments?

Just a quick update from the IIC...
Andrew Knapp took his Xti to an A-main win in the 13.5 Superstock class. Andrew used CRC Magenta front and rear tires in the main and set fast lap time in the process. Joining Andrew were CRC drivers Hupo Honigl and John Tortorice.
In the 17.5 class, it was a CRC sweep with Xti inline cars taking 2nd and 3rd in the hands of Mark Smyka and Kenny Lambert. Birthday boy John Tortorice had a lot to celebrate taking the TQ and win with his CRC Gen-Xi. John also used the CRC 1s lipo and CRC tires to win and set fast lap. Joining the podium trio were CRC drivers Carrissa Smyka and Robert Dirla making it 5 out of 10 drivers with CRC rides. The 3 podium drivers used CRC 1s lipos.
In the modified 1:12th class, Andrew Knapp put on quite a show with his inline Xti charging to the front in a fury of flying foam. An unfortunate and untimely "board" meeting sent him back a few positions. In his charge back, Andrew managed to hot-lap the field setting fast lap time in the A-main with his inline Xti. Knapp used Magenta front and pink rear CRC 1:12th tires.
In the World GT 13.5 class, another CRC podium sweep with TQ man Dave Ehrlich taking the win with his CRC Gen-X 10 LE and CRC lipos. Joining Dave on the podium, Denver driver Mario Ficco (2nd) and Brian Bohlman (3rd) in their Gen-X 10 LE rides.
It was another great event in Vegas and another great result for Team CRC!

The Xti is money after having only two days on car before showing up to IIC couldn't ask more of the performance of pretty much box stock form minus springs and tube lube. I can't wait to see what some time on it will come up with. My cars were super easy to drive.

The fact that your weights are off diagonally suggests your car is tweaked. Back the side springs all the way off and disconnect the damper tubes and see if that makes a difference. Also be sure the scales and car are level side to side and front to back.
