I'm setting up the electronics on my car. What is the consensus on layout, ESC in front or rear? Also, is the kit set up a good starting point for med/hi traction? One car will be 17.5 boosted, other 10.5 boosted.

Thanks

Can anyone tell me if the diffuser has been released yet, and if so where I can buy it. I can't find it for sale on the CRC site.

Yes part#4170

Just place your order on the website, and reply to the confimation e-mail to order it for the moment.

Side springs in relation to the pod. Should they be touching or not? If they are supposed to be touching, what's the preload? Mine are a few mm away from touching. I have the kit springs.

Just touching, with no pre-load is generally preferable to start with. Then you can experiment with additional pre-load. I personally hate the way my cars drive with "deadband" (springs not touching the pod plate), but some people run the car that way.

Thanks Cypress. Did you use some of the leftover front ride-height shims to lower the spring?

How do we do that if we are only looking to order the diffuser? Since part # 4170 is not yet on the website, I see no way to place the order. I just received some parts today and do not need anything else yet.

You adjust them with the 4-40 grub screw in the plate. They are also used to adjust tweak.

Doh! For some reason I was thinking that grub screw was also holding the pivot ball for the damper tube. I need to pay more attention.
