Question: So if your having to remove 1 ear from the JR 3650...how are you mounting it? Shoe Goo?

I guess I had to have one as well. Now to decide which one to race at IIC. Xti, Xi inline or Xi standard.

Are the links angled in so far in the front for rear steer ? I guess you'd need it with very little weight transfer .

The remaining ear is bolted to a mount, and with servo tape under the servo, it's not going anywhere. We have alot of laps on our test cars and the servos and never come loose. This includes some "durability" testing.

Angled links do not give you rear steer.

Having the front pivots of the links closer to the car centerline than the rear pivots doesn't create rear steer. Using a different height of the pivot balls front-to-rear will do that if you desire it. The same can be done on the previous car.

EDIT: Looks like dumper beat me to the answer by a few seconds!

Rear steer was more doable with the short-link cars, like the original Gen-x and the old Knife

Cool...I usually just Shoe Goo the servo in for stuff like that so I'll probably end up doing that. Next question...looks like there isn't much room between the body mounts and the CF piece the suspension mounts to...is there enough room for a foam bumper? I definitely crash test bumpers

They do. They angle each link at a different angle to actually induce static rear steer. Our new oval car has options to induce 3 different amounts of static rear steer by putting the links in different locations.
