Default Burnt ESC?

Hey guys. I was trying to calibrate my ESC and some smoke ended coming out. I then let it cool down and then tried calibrating it again. I succeeded following the steps, but the fan dies and the servo is still moving. What just happened?

Most esc's with a fan run the fan on start up but once they see the esc is not hot it will cut the fan off, so they have a temp switch on the fan. Esc should be good if it still runs the motor.

The motor isn't running. But it runs everything else. So basically everything is still programmable, and yada but the motor is not moving.

All the ESC runs is the motor. Servo is controlled by the receiver and battery combo. You probably smoked it the way it sounds!

Hobbyking 100A ESC. I think I did too. And I think I now know why. They set the throttle limit to 0%, and I thought I was calibrating it. So I went full throttle (according to the crappy manual), and tada!
