Pre-mount tires for Ozite Carpet...Suggestions?

I'm a racer on a very strict budget. I need to purchase a set of pre-mount tires/wheels that will work well on Ozite carpet. Any suggestions for a good set of pre-mounts that are fairly inexpensive? Links appreciated!

P.S. I know buying a set of tires and wheels separately can be cheaper. However, gluing tires is my #1 least favorite thing in the RC world!

Of the three popular premounts, Sweep QTS32, Solaris Med, and Jaco blue, I find to get the most good runs out of the sweeps, with the solaris not far behind, and the worst by far are the Jacos ;)

I would order some pre-mount RP-30s from overseas if given the choice.

Not sure on the price of sorex in the states but sorex 28jb are much quicker than anything else and wear well also.

Trust me, I've done side by side comparison on pretty much all brands, the closest to the sorex in terms of pace are the ride 25 but they are a little soft and inconsistent.

The great thing about the sorex tyres is you can mix and match sets and still get good performance.

Most of us ran Sweeps of some sort last winter. I started with sweep 28's and ended with the sweep QTS32's and were by far the fastest and most consistent of the two. Wear will depend how much you come out this year;). I think if you race every week you should get 2 to 3 months of useable rubber. You will be giving up time stretching the life of the tire but they will be useable for the majority of the season.

I have been using Sorex for most of the summer and plan on staying with them for our winter season. They have been better for me than the Sweeps on asphalt but will see how they work on carpet. One downfall of Sorex is they cost a little more than the other brands so if money is the main issue that may stop you.

Sweeps are stocked here local also. Hope some of that helps Rob and I will post links of tires I used that worked well and what I plan on trying.

+1 sorex rule ...ive tried lots of different tires and so have lots of racers at my club and the general consensus is nothing works as well as sorex...on my track anyways.

Rob and Andy,
I posted up a thread on UTRC about choosing a spec tire for carpet this year. Before we all go buy new tires we should decide if a spec tire for the the class is a popular idea or not. If we choose a spec tire then it takes the guesswork out of Robs question.
