Default hpi pro2 & rally compatibility

i just bought a pro2 cf chassis for my rally. i always thought the 2 were almost identical and had almost 100% compatibility. BUT. i just found the holes for the front and rear bulkheads are spaced differently. the bulheads fit fine each, but the space between the front and rear bulks are off. the pro2 longer than the rally's. so now i have a problem. anyone knmow waht i should do? should i drill new holes? or is there a different bulkhead for the pro2 than the rally?
i had always thought it was a direct fit.
