So your saying leave 17.5 to zero sponsorship? 13.5 at most 50 chassis? Then mod whatever your heart desires?

No need for a handicap system just points for finish in any class.
As only attendees can get points it is a level field for all.

Now ROAR can add the finish points from non ROAR events to their event finishes and you have something.

It generates the necessity to be a ROAR member.
It helps to generate interest in ROAR's lower attendance numbers events.
It gives some of the SPEC classes some legitimization and stops the incessant whining about turning the only class left besides mod into a freakin turtle watching class.

Again, STOCK is not SPEC.
STOP imagining that in a perfect world everyone gets points for trying and everyone is a winner and here have a flower --BS.

Racing is about competition and ergo winning!

Well in most cases aspiring to ---- move up!

Make ROAR important---require them to implement a driver points system.

The leader with most laps led/times combined from both TC Stock & TC Mod during the season shall be crowned TC National Champ

The leader with most laps led/times combined from both 12th Stock & 12th Mod during the season shall be crowned 12th scale National Champ

That is quite a level playing field, with no handicap

I like it

Just asking.... How do you handle larger entered events vs smaller entered events? Or do you feel this does not matter? I can see it either way, just asking....

Would be best to start out with the Gold Standard races as we know them today
IIC, Birds, TZGP, US Indoor Champs, Winter Nats, Summer Nats, 6 is a good number of events
Help me out here, are there more, what are the other give or take 200+ entry annual successful events ?

If the promoters and Roar could come to terms, we could have one heck of a National Championship

Little tweaking of the rules, so that all events are on the same page
We are close here already with Blinky and Mod right ?

RCGT, VTA, F1, Boost classes, etc, still run at events that run these classes, but not for points

I like boost, but I'm ok with that, to keep it simple

Doesn't matter if stock is 13. or 17.5 at different events, there will be 1 stock class for points

That track you guys have would have been amazing, even for just One 8m 12th mod main
I simply could not spend that much time on it no matter how much I wanted to or how close it is to me. I know that I'm not the only one who feel that way about it or is in that situation. You want to boost entries, there's one idea.

I'd say six races, with 3 counting since very few individuals could logistically make all 6. Vegas, Halloween Classic, TZGP, Cleveland, Snowbirds, now all we need is Nash, (or someone else) to step up and do another one for the eastern third of the country. That would allow for two races in each region, and you'd only have to travel out of region for one. Base the points system on a 1 point winner, 3 points second, 5 points third, and the driver with the lowest score wins. Just need to get all the organizers to agree to do it, offer the same "core" classes and hash out tie-breakers. If ROAR wants in all the better. They could establish regional RMT's to oversee tech at races if they saw fit, but leave the race directors for respective events in place.

Sounds like a winner to me.

Classes wise I think 17.5 is amateur, and gets an "Event Champion"

13.5 or 17.5 boosted whatever, is "Pro-Stock" Open Sponsorship, The Gateway to MOD, gets a National Champ, and MOD of course gets a national champ.

I guess it was more me thinking aloud, not really a very viable option but thought I would throw it out there for discussion.

The issue is with stock on road, not mod but if things do need changing, the question is, how

Nicely done! Make MOD the class the one with the most meaningful "Championship" gives incentive to move up. Should be no national recognition for the bottom tiered classes. Let those guys, like me, have fun and them move up if we want to compete where things matter.
