ROAR Election
Just thought this was important enough to start a thread here were most guys will see it. The nomination ballot is up for the upcoming ROAR presidential election. There are a lot of guys that like to complain about ROAR on here (and rightfully so at times) so here's your chance to make a contribution.

Seriously we do need someone, actually a few people, to put in the time and rational thought to manage the things that matter in RC racing.
Fair racing
Successful events
Safe facilities with adequate insurance
Send our best to the Worlds
ROAR is also a business with income and expenses that have to be managed and accounted for. Currently the membership and income is on the slide while I am sure expenses are on the rise.
To do the job right will take considerable dedication and time. Perhaps more than most are willing to give considering the rewards or compensation. Ideally the membership could be increased to a point where there is some monetary compensation. For now it has to be fueled by a passion for the hobby, and a few free trips to major race events.
The rule book is from 2010 and needs to be updated. There have been a number of changes or new rules announced and we need a single source that is complete. There are also a number of areas that need some clarification.
Currently the rules require that any candidate must have held a previous ROAR position. I believe this includes previous and current regional directors and committee members. This does limit the field to those that have been involved at some level in the past.
So who should be the next ROAR President?
