The Protoform PF8 body works with converted buggy's with offroad shocks and shock towers. Once you lower the chassis by laying down the shocks as far as you can, it really doesn't protrude much into the body. To see for yourself push the car down to about 10 - 13mm of ride height and then see how much higher the shock tower is over the top of the tires. You will see its not much and with a body that has a sloping hatch rear end (Corvette, PF8, Nissan Z, Ferrari 430), the rear shock tower sits just within that space.

Thanks for updating the website. 72mm max is what we have to work with.

Your welcome.
But, 72mm is on the limit, it depends a bit on the motor diameter, if it's more then 41mm, it will be very tight!.....

from serpent web:

"Motor mount
Machined 7075 T6 aluminium motor-mount with one-screw fixation and easy slider system. Flex-free and very strong motormount. The space for the motor allows a maximum motor-length of 72mm, which covers most widely used motors."

will fit mamba 2200?

Motor size specs are very disappointing with the GT-E
My favorite motor to run is a 2250 tekin which is 75mm so
it basically leaves me with only 2 options, a 2050 motor or a 2650.
2050 motor is a little too slow for the track we run on so it only really leaves me with the 2650 which I don't mind but a 2650 on 4s on a sunny 90+ degree day(120+ track temp) in a 7 minute main will easily reach 180+ degrees.
I really hope I have room to mount a heatsink and yeah racing fans to help.

Either way I ordered the GT-E anyways, Its on it's way and will be here Monday.
Ordered it from Desoto, which was over priced at $589 plus shipping
I'm sure once websites like amain stock them they will be $550 with free shipping plus you would most likely be able to use one of there coupon codes for even a cheaper price.
But I wanted the car before the track closes for the season on Sep 30th so I just ordered it anyways.
Really curious to see how the car performs compaired to what my DM1 does.
Since the temps have dropped i installed a tekin 2650 in my DM-1 so both cars will have exact same electronics, tires and both will have same final gear ratio.
After only running a solid center gear I'm real curious to see how the car behaves with a center diff. Im sure braking will be better but I'm really interested in seeing how exiting turn and going on to throttle is going to be. With a solid center you have to be much more careful on how you throttle out of turns, especially turning right because your rear will just swing out on you. With the center diff it should be much more stable getting on to throttle early

You can easily gear up.
I installed a 22 pinion yesterday, and you can gear up even further.
Maybe you just have to take some material from the center diff's cover, but that's it. Pinions up to 26 and further should be possible. (didn't check).

I could go full throttle out of a corner, and it sometimes went into a drift, but never oversteered.

The NEU-Castle 1515/1Y 2200kv is 75.18, but the NEU 1515/1Y 2200kv is 68.58mm so there is another option.
