Have look and get impressed by the Performance shown:

Some more racing action. Have a look for the yellow Corvette and the red Blitz batteling for the victory. By the way, both are Cobra V3.x, 6s, with Lehner motors.

Hello from France,

The actual weight gain is 260g!!!
But still heavy...

I don't have yet the rear carbon/alu bodymount (-15g), front and rear 3mm carbon shock towers (-20g), the center rigid axle (-50g)....

Here's my car.

Nice new parts...

You can go with the Hard Composite Fr and Rr wishbones.
More reactiv car.

And, the 3.1 suspension kit.

The front support is lower and wider due to the new alu lever.

Le levier avant 3.1 est en haut!!

The rear one is lower and the alu levers push the shock inside the rim!!!

Another interesting thing is that the shocks work straight.

Ready to run!

Hello from France,

after several tests, I found a big improvment in steering with the 3.1 upgrade.
Less understeering, more sticking the inside line.
And the rear end is always good.

Lap times are a little better but, especially, the car is more comfortable during the run.

A good FaceBook around the Cobra!!!

Good afternoon, I know the motor questions have been debated many times over in this thread but as someone new to on-road what might be a reasonable combination for on-road track racing? I know 1700-1900 kv on 4S for buggies but wondering whether to go 6S for on road. Would 6S, 1400 kv be fast enough? Technically Tekin don't recommend the 1700 kV on 6S but maybe that is fine too? 4S-2650 seems like it will run too hot to me. In other cars, do the truggy motors perform better in running a little cooler? Any thoughts would be gratefully received, ~Tom

Hi Tom, 6s is a very good solution for a GT8, will have 30% lower currents at same performance and enough lipo capacity for something like 8 minutes heats.

We use 1900kv motors with 6s. I have used two setups in the past years:

- Tenshock X812L 1900kv, Tekin RX8 gen2 and 2x Arrowmax 3s 7200mAh lipos.

- Lehner 2230LK 9T, Tekin RX8 gen2 and 2x Arrowmax 3s 7200mAh

The last one is expensive , but it´s really fast.

Thank you so much for the information. Wow, those are some hot setups! It really does seem this class of racing requires more power and speed than the buggy. I'm definitely going 6S but might lean towards a lower kV motor for now because I don't think my 5000 mAh will be enough. The Facebook link looks really helpful. Very much appreciated.
