They should be fine, I am using Nanotech Ultimate 6000mah in a 4s set up on a Thunder Power 2400kv motor and don't have any issues.

Just make sure you get 5mm plug packs, 4mm plugs don't like these things!

Do people still run these cars? I really want one, but it will require that I save for it for a good while. So also asking if it's a good buy.

Hello from France,

it seems to be OK but without any room...

For me you'd better go for larger LiPo.

Our races are 7mn (+2/3 laps practice) and we usually run 7500mAh/90C (NanoTech Ulitmate) or more (Corally 8.000mAh/90C).
With the cutoff at 3,2V/cell, there's still around 25% energy in the pack.
No inflated batteries, temperature max 45°C after the run.
I think it's better to have large capacity because you will never go to a deep discharge that kills cells.

For sure, the cost is higher but with our experience, you can run without problem for 2 years!!

Au revoir,
Romuald

I make it fine with 6500 SMC and a 2450kv. I also run 7500 and that is plenty, but MY car likes the 6500 better.

Have a look at this video:

Thats the performance a V3.0 is possible to show, even during a complet ten minute heat.

So nice. Where did you find the Lancia body? Which one is this? And tires? Just regular tires?

I have been thinking about purchasing this to replace my X3GT and was curious what everyone though of the car in comparison to the mugen or kyosho.

As there are more Drivers using nitro look a the results over there to compare the brands performance. Serpent ist permanently on the podium. The other havent been seen winning a race for quite a while.

Agree with the above. The serpent is probably the most durable and complete/competitive car right out the box. You really don't need to buy a heap of upgrades to go fast! Grab that 3.0 you will love it.

Thanks, will do. Our club doesn't race nitro anymore. The X3GTe was an awesome short wheelbase car until it got in a really bad accident. A new racer was barreling down the straight jumped the divider and hit my car head on. Broke too much to make it worth fixing. Unless someone has a complete spare kits car, but even the chassis is now twisted length wise.
