I have the GT at home with the LRP motor installed (from the Serpent site pictures) which is 68mm, I will measure the amount of space still available tonight, to give a clear answer.
Were you able to get an accurate measurment on the max motor size that could be squeezed in? Thanks.

M7H. Have you had a chance to run the car cobra GT yet? What's your thoughts?
Have you had a electric GT8 before the cobra GT? Im curious to know how's the feel of the car with the center differential compaired to other GT8 cars that all basically have solid center drives?

You could always lock it if you dont like it. Off topic question: what wt shock oil do you run in your DM-1? I picked one up recently, great car. Cant wait for the GT-e to get here though.

Link to parts comparison spreadsheet

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...ldvUUdESy1zOUE

Color coded version - All common parts between 811-be, GT-nitro, and GT-e highlighted in yellow. Some descriptions may be slightly different between the parts lists of each car which would cause them not to highlight, fyi.

Yea I know the diff could be locked but real curious to know how the car would feel with a center diff.

I haven't changed any stock fluids yet but I contacted a guy on here that runs the Dm-1 spec(nitro) That has won or placed high in big races so I asked him for his setup.

Front:
-1.0 camber
1.5 toe out
2.000 diff oil in the shocks with white springs
200.000 in the front Diff

rear:
-2.0 camber
2.5 toe in
1.000 diff oil in the shocks with red springs
10.000 in the rear Diff
shocks mid position on tower, outer one on low arms

Yes, I drove it last Wednesday.
But because I have only driven the Cobra, I can't comment on center diff vs solid center....

I drive 4wd 8th scale, 2wd 12th scale and Pro10 (oh, and F180), so am not really familiar with how it should handle, that's why I gave my transmitter to a TC driver, and he kept on driving until the lipo cut-off, he didn't want to give the car back to me any earlier.
The 2nd charge I drove the car a bit more, and really find it easy to drive.
Problem is I can not really compare it to others, because I was the only GT at the track.....

As far as we know the only difference between the Buggy E and GT-1e are:

Front and rear shock towers.
front and rear shocks
rear wing mount
body posts
front bumper and foam.

the gearing might be different I didnt check that.

there are some running changes made to somescrews etc but that really doesnt matter.

you got me m8.

everyone here buys the 12 degree as an upgrade so I totally forgot that. the GT also uses the truggy upright as well so that needs to change too but like I said plastic parts dont add up too much of the total. shocks, towers and the GT bumper is the bulk.

Testing with diff. Springs right now. Dont run pro races we set up tracks on asphalt 1/8 size tracks. Just saying for the ones who dont wanna spend the 300+ USD to convert. If your gonna spend that kinda money just buy the kit. Imo

I converted a hpi vorza to onroad track car and it was as fast if not faster that any of the other e cars on the track. Built it to compete with the Ofna GTP2E and DM1 because as of until now there wasn't any other 1/8 cars to do. We are even working with the Kyosho DRX rally and setting it up for onroad only
Heres the HPI Vorza
