0 degree Alloy C Hubs and Steering Blocks will help offset the stock front kick up. The Alloy Servo Horn is a good idea, I have done pretty much every upgrade on mine with the exception of rear alloy carriers (but I'm a tad OCD) I would invest in a hard servo saver spring and run a composite spur rather than the hardened steel one.

There really is not a lot more that is needed for this car. The carbon kit is nice to have as it makes working on it a bit easier but is not needed. Other then maybe a servo & radio not mentioned. The other thing to think about might be some fans? I need them for the motor but when I run an external BEC I don't need them for my ESC, when I don't have the BEC in then I do need a fan for my RX8. This will depend on the your track and gearing though.

The other thing is to download a setup sheet, look in the nitro section and grab one of the newer ones then get the right oils. I've got a V1 diffs so my diff's will be different then yours but I think I have 200k in front & 40k in back with 300 still for the center but have been wanting to try switching this it up.

Looking at my car it looks like I have black springs up front and gray in the back. Some do black all around or black with red in the rear at my track.

+1 on this
I started with Andy liu's nitro setup right now I'm running 300k ft 200k center and 30k rear for v1 diffs. I do have the carbon radio tray and I cut out a bunch of the unnecessary plastic bits for weight savings. But the main thing is the handling the chassis has too much kick up and the c hubs and knuckles make the biggest difference.

I have 300, 300 and 30k in my Diffs (V2)

I did the Carbon radio tray, and have a single 40mm fan sitting upright next to the motor (tapped some M3 holes into the plastic side guard) which helps a lot.

Haven't done the black springs yet and I need to go to +2 hubs on the rear as the GRP tyres do scrub a little on the rear hub carriers. Running 1k weight diff oil in the Shocks at the moment as well.

Hi all,

I already have an 811 2.0e buggy and want to convert it to the GTe car.....can anyone please list what I'll need? Is it a case of just shocks/towers/body mounts and bumper? Or trickier?

Thanks!

shock towers, shocks and springs, body mounts, and bumper assembly for sure. Wheels and tires obviously. Some one else can probably add to this. Check part numbers on the arms I'm not sure if they are the same. The chassis kick plus the c hubs and knuckles that come with the buggy give some ridiculous amount of caster you'll want to change those sooner or later.

Buying all of those parts required to convert as spare part will most probably reach, or exceed the kit price.

Making limited sense to convert.

Yes I have decided to buy a new kit but thanks anyway.

A good friend of mine, who's also on RCTech, has been with Serpent for years and he persuaded me to get a complete kit.....if I did convert the buggy I'd never convert it back to a buggy so having a completely separate car is the best way.

I run a tekin 2650 and that clears the left steering post by about 1-2 mm I know in the those the 2650 and 2050 buggy can motors are about all that fits I couldn't find a decent hobby wing that would. I think the limit is around 96 mm.

No way Jose.

The limit is 70 mm. So no long can with sensor (74mm), or without sensor (<73mm) will fit.

That is measured, not just hope full thinking.

Does anyone know if the Trinity D8 2100kv motor will fit this chassis. Trinity says the motor is 73mm and serpent says upto 71mm. Is this true? Or is there some give and take room. I have my chassis ordered and coming but still need to find a motor.
