Looks good. Your proto version looks prety close Is the result improved flex characteristics or just greater flex at the rear/overall?

My TCX top deck prototype has improved the overall flex, the reactions of car are slightly less quickly, but driving is more constant and consistent, the tests are made with 13.5 blinky.

Soon I will test with raised top deck, as the Andy's car, I'm working on retain plates for the central axis

Great! Interesting how to gain more steering Andy Moore removed the X bracing on the front wishbones to get more flex at the front. I'm always striving to calm the car down and not get more steering! Shows what a good driver he is

On my conversion I found the over all flex to be possibly too much. It had a big push on entry and a snap over steer on exit. The over steer might be due to running a boosted 4.5 on asphalt (it's tough too apply the power smoothly) but stiffening up the rear seemed to help with the over steer which made me think that the chassis might be too soft and winding up on power (corner exit) and then releasing causing the rear to break loose. When they treated the track the car obviously got better. It's really very frustrating as there are too many variables the worst of which is the condition of the tires ...

That's one of the great things about our car in that it's easy to utilize parts from the TCX. It is TCXX spec but he is using the steering crank and RF suspension mount from the TCX.

I read in this thread that HB will offer an update kit. Do you know if that's still going to happen and if so when ?
Thanks.

I love this about the HB car! You can use any number of parts from a number of kits from the Pro4 to the TCXX to get the setup effect you are after. Motor mounts, steering arms, wishbones etc.

I've been a fan for years but can honestly say where HB is with the TCXX it's brilliant! The TCXX is so tunable and easy to tune my lap times this year are improving leaps and bounds.

Well done HB!

Hi All I was practicing this afternoon at my local track with the tcxx and I broke the two rear dog bones in the out drive cups in 2 separate runs 1 after the other, I race mod could this be the reason.

Thanks

do you have a picture of the breakage? I assume you had an impact or crash when it happened.

For more durability Im sure you can run the 2mm pin aluminum dog bones, pro 4 steel dogbones, or any 44mm HB dogbones with the appropriate diff blades for the outdrives.

Does anyone have a starting setup for the upcoming IIC. It will be my first time attending and racing in the 17.5 TC class. Also, I have no experience on carpet as I race mosty on juiced asphalt. So looking for a setup I could easilly transition to for the rug
