Just fitted the Hiro Seiko TCXX Titanium screw set and I can confirm it shaves 20g off the overall weight.

I'm now down to a respectable 1353g with a full size lipo.

I avoided the half aluminium kit as I wasn't sure about fitting aluminium screws as I could see a high potential of stripped and rounded off hexes resulting in screws stuck.

Has anyone had any experiences with aluminium screws as that can save another 7g?

If you're likely not to hit anything during your runs. Ive used aluminum for the upper bulkheads/ shock tower mounting/ sway barholders/ and upper deck. Just need to be carefully when screwing un-screwing them.

Why would you put aluminium screws in your bottom plate, that's the lowest the weight can get. I have Titanium screws in my bottom plate, aluminium in everything else, except the topdeck. I like to detweak (or check the tweak) quite often and choose titanium screws in the topdeck.

Regards Robert

The half and half sets only have aluminium screws for the top deck and top half of the bulk heads, possibly the servo too. Basically in low stress places. Certainly not the bottom deck.

Because of this, I'm seriously thinking of switching to another chassis come fall when we start racing again. I've been a loyal HB TC owner since I started racing about 5 years ago, but I don't want to be in the situation I was at the end of our on-road season where I had *no* spare arms.

Sorry for whining, but I'm bit tired of the perpetual shortage of parts for HB TC's.
I agree on this.. I can't run if I don't have spares because the eventual will eventually happen. I can't say that im that great of a driver so I know better then to head to the track with my hopes up only to be knocked out of the races because of a broken arm I can't replace. I put my car up in the FS thread last night before I even got to run it and its a shame really because the quality is really all there.

IDK who dropped the ball here with the parts department but it needs to get fixed soon before people decide to go elsewhere. Waiting until July 27th for parts to be available is really not acceptable..

Whoever dropped the ball has been doing so for years now. Poor parts support for the HB TC's isn't anything new. Many have already jump ship to platforms that offer much better support for its distributors, shops and racers.

It's a shame because the car is great. It's just nobody wants to run something they can't even get basic parts for on a regular basis. Waiting months upon months for spares is a joke.

Whats the point in paying hara and andy to run the tc and not be able to get parts, just seems pointless to me for hb to even have a tc if their not going to support it. I even looked online overseas and its the same no parts. Seems like they are not keeping up with supply n demand. I would really like to get this car but theres no way with parts support this bad. Feel sorry for they guys who have tcxx paper weights
