This is a very interesting debate, I just use Rw spur gears and they do have the holes to use the 4 screws...

Are the 48DP so different from the 64DP?

I have a feeling that's a robinson racing spur, not an RW... Well not the RW super light that everyone is referring to

Also are these the dcj's you are using or are there other ones specifically for the TCXX?

http://www.hotbodiesonline.com/piw.p...=67699&lang=en

edit: I did a thread search and it sounds like you need different outdrives to use the dcj's? I apologize for my noobiness. Still trying to wrap my head around all the terminology and concepts. Will using DCJ's make things easier in the long run?

All,

That DCJ is pre TCXX and has a 2.3mm pin and its driveshaft is wider and require any of these outdrives:

67699 DCJ Drive Shaft Set (1pc)
68770 SOLID AXLE LONG CUP (POM/2pcs
68769 SOLID AXLE LONG CUP (STEEL/2pcs)
61333 DIFF CUP JOINT ADAPTER/2PCS ***2.3mm pin***

Here are the part numbers developed for the 2mm pinned DCJ along with its outdrive options:

68823 DCJ Drive Shaft (44mm/2mm Drive Pin/1pc) ***Thinner driveshaft like the TCXX kit steel drive shafts***
68840 SPOOL OUT DRIVE SET (STEEL/TCXX) ***2mm pin***
68841 SPOOL OUT DRIVE SET (POM/TCXX) ***2mm pin***
68289 GEAR DIFF OUT DRIVE SET (FRONT/STEEL/2pcs) ***2mm pin***
68822 DRIVE SHAFT BLADE SET (POM/2mm Drive Pin Hole)
68821 LW STEEL UNIVERSAL DRIVE SHAFT 44mm (2mm Drive Pin)
68836 DRIVE SHAFT BLADE SET (GEAR DIFF) ***has both blades for 2mm and 2.3mm pin***
68278 GEAR DIFF OUT DRIVE SET (ALUMINUM/2pcs) ***We use these in our rear Gear Diffs only and you must use a blade***

EDIT: Alot of the new parts are not on the website yet but are in stock.

After all of this shit I got over me, I decided to quit RC Racing all together as of now.

It seems that it is no longer my scene anymore. Back in the old days at least people treated each other with respect.

Thanks for the effort however.

Speaking honestly, you come across the wrong way. It's not everyone else it's how you write your posts, in a demanding manner. Which is why I personally haven't responded to them. I believe if you show more respect and ask for info then you would get more help.

EDIT: Regarding your questions about spur gears, if someone likes a car then they buy the car and get spurs to fit the car if needed and not vice-versa.

Thank you Fred, but it is all water under the bridge now.
I started selling the things I still have as of a few minutes ago and cancelled my club membership and my Nats license.
Never gonna return again, at least not in TC1/10th electric and for sure not with HB.

Let us just leave it at this, shall we?

Thanks again.

Such drama. All you've ever posted is stupid questions about every car on the market that involve it's minimum weight and simple stuff that you should be able to see from the manual. Now you are "quitting" the sport because someone called you out on not even looking at pictures of spur gears. I doubt you even had a car in the first place. Good riddance to bad rubbish, this is a forum for helping people, not causing problems.

Fred,

Any reason why the new driveshafts are all 2mm pin? whats the advantage?
Also the wait for an updated parts list on HB website is getting to me

They were changed to allow for more material on the blades around the pin to reduce breakage. We are working on getting the site updated as I write this.

Hi, you are not disturbing me at all.
If you are asking about the traction compounds for carpet (with Ride tire), i would recommend to start with the CS or the LRP carpet traction additive.

I will also ask to our team guys and see what they recommend to use.

Thank you.
