Cars look nice I am building mine. I have a few questions.
1.What front outdrives do you guys suggest. The kit has metal and plastic front out drives for the spool. What do you guys think is best? Obvoiusly the metal ones require you to run blades..
2. I may be missing it but what direction are the screws supposed to face on the spur it doesnt really say in the manual but I see pics on the site that they seem to face away from the motor.
3.My Xray cars have always had the aluminum drive shafts at the back and the steel up front. Is everyone using what the kit says or switching them?

oh and this is the best gear diff I have ever seen period!

Yeah the Yokomo's is the second but the TCXX by far has the best looking diff maintenance and build. That seal and everything looks beefy and smooth.

I see it lists the metal outdrives on the spool as a new feature so I guess that is best?

If your running mod I'd run the metal. Stock or 17.5 I'd run the lighter weight. If your learning I'd run metal as well.

That Trinity D3.5 motor looks like it was made just for the TCXX.

More questions.

What sway bars should I sart with? I see in the pro set up tips that they are cutting the silver sway bar but kit suggests black.

What springs are everyone running? just kit?

I am still confused as the suggested set up for the drive shafts should I do it as the kit suggests or reverse them? I looked back in this thread and there seems to be conflicting answers.

Is there a part number for ecs style shafts?

Anyone have a baseline set up sheet yet? I am trying to set up for the Tamiya track this Sat.

Thanks guys.

I think you can totally use TCX setups, even Cyclone TC setups...

"Hara's TC 1.5" would be a good basis I think... This is the one where Atsushi use 1.5mm quite everywhere!

When you are lost in setups, start again from that, the car works not bad and then you can adjust it to your skills...

1) Soon we will have POM's with a 2mm slit so that you don't have to use blades. I believe the POM's in the kit have a 1mm slit.

2) You can put the screws either way.

3) We always run DCJ's so you can run either steel or aluminum in the rear.

Truth be told it's even better than the XRAY diff.

Start with Front 1.4mm and Rear 1.2mm. If you need more rear grip run the short 1.2mm and if you need less grip run the wide 1.2mm. Silver springs (kit) all around to start.

Our current 44mm DCJ that you can run is 67699

Correct, I suggest starting with whichever setup you run on your TCX if you're running one.

Sounds like you got a little extra "love" from the factory I'd rather have 3 extra bars then be short 3 bars
