OK still building my car but started to think what upgrades people recommend for the tcxx. I got the dcj axles but what else would people use?
Thanks in advance again

what surface are you running on?
tcx motor mount and different split piece and one piece suspension blocks, and maybe extra different size shims. this is all for fine tuning.

I would recommend the following in order of importance:

DCJ's - I'm running the Tamiya re-buildable ones. Corner speed is increased and no chatter at all

TCX MOTOR MOUNT - I found this option to improve overall handling, especially with direction change

FLOATING SERVO MOUNT - Really felt like this settled the car and improved consistency

LOW PROFILE SHOCK TOWERS & SHOCK - I've gone for the Team AME T-Shox short shocks with the CSO Shock towers. The T-SHOX are so smooth and consistent due to their clever ZERO REBOUND design, although do require more frequent re-builds.

That's about it, once you find your setup I have found the TCXX to work well at all tracks and my lap times have all come down from previously running the WCE Cyclone.

Is there a new model coming from HB/HPI?

Default TC to TCXX conversion

I bought an after market ARROWMAX aluminum chassis for my TCXX, which I ended up not using after they changed the weight limit in the class I intended to use it for, so I thought I'd just convert one of my old TCs into a TCXX, since the suspension, shocks, etc are the same. However, after pricing out the TCXX unique parts, it was cheaper just to buy another TCXX and put those part on the ARROWMAX chassis. Now I'm going to use that in VTA.

BTW That old TC chassis still works great in both VTA and USGT. I switched my USGT car over to the TCXX chassis and WOW! I liked it even better. I'm using Andy Moore's low grip asphalt setup (petite RC) but with 6X1.3 pistons & 2000 CSI oil in the shocks and the car is awesome.

Now if I could just drive as well as the car handles!!!

To answer your question indoor and outdoor asphalt.
TCX motor mount. Will look into that and some split blocks.
Also V2 knuckles?

Probably more fragile if you hit something... But the new steering geometry is better with them...

http://www.redrc.net/2014/06/hot-bod...onversion-kit/

I just saw this on redrc today. My tcxx that was fully optioned out got stolen from me some months back. I am still pretty pissed about that. It is a great car and I miss it. It looks like the kit above will bring her right up to specs!
