Am I going to be able to run the Reventon Pro in blinky for this race or are we going by strict ROAR rules?

The Reventon S and Club Spec are ROAR approved I believe (?), due to the fact they are not externally adjustable.... not sure if the series will allow them as I don't know when they were approved. ROAR hasn't approved the blinky software for the adjustable Reventons yet..... I'll be running a GT Prostock with the 508 software. I ran it yesterday and wasn't down on power! Pick one up if you don't want the basic ESCs.

I have an esc that is no where near down on power. That won't be the issue. I was just asking to verify.

I know it's coming but technically even if ROAR approved the esc tomorrow according to the rules it reads that it would have to be approved before Oct 2011. I'm pretty sure that is null and void and it just has to be approved but I figured I would ask anyway. Now with Joe's post I just want to verify.

Try sending a PM on here or HobbyTalk to Ken Miller, since he's the series director. Maybe he meant Oct. 26th, 2012 (the day before qualifying starts), and the date is just a left over from last year's rules?

BTW are you going to have 12th scale Foam tires for sale?

What are people running for 12th scale tires?

Last time I was at the Gate, Black/Graylow worked pretty well for me.

We will have some CRC and Parma.

Last day of racing I ran gray/gray with my XTi.

With my Xi I ran magenta/magenta.

I agree with Joe, I think it's a typo.

I was going to print the ROAR list out on Wednesday and take it up to the track for our track set up on Thursday so we have it up there.

Default TC tires!!!

Just to answere all the PM's I received this weekend about TC tires...

We will have some Sweeps available and some BSR foams.

You can check in 3 sets per class.

You don't have to run them in practice.

You can bring your own tires to be checked in (NIP or used), you don't have to buy them at the track. I would encourage you to bring them, I don't think we'll have enough for everyone

If you have any other questions feel free to post them here and I'll try to answere them ASAP!

In years past, when you brought the tires to tech, they had to be new, and in the original package. Unlike every other big race/series, you don't have to buy them at the race. According to the unwritten rules, they don't have to be in the original packaging, and in fact don't even have to be new, but you are still limited to checking in 3 sets.

Default Red Roof full - alternate lodging suggestion??

when I called the Red Roof Inn this evening to make reservations for next weekend, the hotel clerk reported that they didn't have any double rooms available. Is there perhaps a block of rooms reserved? And if not, can someone please recommend an alternate choice for lodging that's not too far from the Gate?

They have a Quality Inn listed on the NORCAR website.
http://www.norcarracing.com/

They have a 15% off rate when you mention NORCAR at the Gate. I've stayed there before - Its pretty good, clean, and right down the road from the track.

I tried that hotel cause we stayed there last year but they were out of rooms with two beds. We ended up getting rooms at the holiday inn where Indoor Champs will be at. Number is 1-440-238-8800. $99 a night though
