Looking for a good 12th scale
 

Looking to try 12th and Im looking at the crc gen xi and the rc12r 5.2. I like, the crc cause it has more options and I can move the battery around on it and I can't on the rc 12. So what are the differences besides that.

There are probably more differences on paper than on the track. Either of these will work well. For me the CRC wins as its cheaper.

The cool thing these days is that there are NO bad 1/12ths out there. Every single one of them I know of is a great car. So just pick the one you like best and can get parts and support for. I have two right now, an ancient CRC that has been upgraded several times over the years to be close to current spec and a CEFX Griffin. Both get the job done.

CRC, not because I drive them but simply because they give you the most for your money. There are several good cars out and it'd be difficult to say one is better than any other in performance. The CRC costs less and they have always provided an upgrade path to get your previous generation car up to current specs without having to purchase a complete kit. The other bonus is that CRC bodies already have dimples for mounting (at least on the front) for the Gen Xi.

I got two 12R5's on trade and starting to get them operational. I wanted to run the CRC 1/12 and the 1/10 th.

FWIW, if you are referring to the new inline Associated... you can move the battery around just like the CRC. Granted, the AE's inline config is "offset" slightly from center. But you can run the car with the battery in the rearward transverse config or in the inline config with either car.

Anybody running a Pemberton Raceworks sj-12? I know its a oval car but its still a 1/12 pan car lol looking at getting one for the indoors carpet oval season.

Never seen one in person but I like its design. Should be a good car.

I've seen it, held it, and watched it run. It's an excellent chassis that can be tuned for any track condition.
