Hey all

Been looking up lots of cars latley, wanting to get a decent 2nd car.
but im a bit of a cheap-o and cant really afford the greatness of a cyclone or a Xray

You can't polish a turd.

I'd look into a slightly used name brand vehicle before buying some new in box knock off vehicle. Seen too many ppl buy these types of cars and end up VERY disappointed. Check the for sale forums, be thorough with researching them, and you may end up with a better vehicle.

What'd they do freeze the turd in liquid nitrogen first?

I would go with used car. My dad still got T2007 that he bought second hand and on last race I pwned everyones fastest lap with 19T checkpoint motor and his car - also my own fastest lap with T2008 and 10.5T brushless motor (I raced both categories). I would definitely advice not to buy that copy. You'll spend more money to make it good than to buy used and better car.

By the pics there is no relief milled where the motor mounts, so if its running the low cg I'm not sure if your motors will have the proper clearance.

Known brand used would be a better option.

Actually looking at it even more, the entire chassis looks like all components are mounted on the chassis without any of the reliefs cut for the bulkhaeds or motor mount. So the motor shouldn't be a issue, but the car will not have the lowered c of g as a real xray.

Buy cheap... buy again.

For $200 you could get a used one. And it would be legit.
