I changed my o-rings from the orange ones to the black ones (BD-500GM) and diffs now feel free with no binding.
Thats weird, i have the black ones. What part number are you using? Maybe i got the wrong ones :S

not sure what the difference is between the GM and GOB rings are, but disassemble your diff and remove the small gears that form a cross. Spin the outdrives and feel if they are sticky. Remove the gear inside and the pin, spin again, if there is a big difference in the way they feel then you have a problem somewhere there. Thats how I found my o-rings were swollen.

What is general consensus of the 2016 version of BD7 versus 2014 version? Is the new car so significantly better that is worth of upgrading? What option parts are upwards compatible, can use springs, swaybars or front diff from the old car?

I am solely running on medium-high traction indoor carpet tracks.

Default TECHRA blocks

Hi BD7 racers. Has someone used the TECHRA blocks and give a feedback on quality, sloppy or not, and maybe durability? Would like to order them or the much more expensive samix blocks...
Thanks!

I have the Techra blocks and they seem to be pretty durable, no apparent sloop, it looks like they use the same inserts as the VBC cars. The split mounts have more of a lip machined into them so there is less likelihood of popping the back of the insert out from arm impact. They are the same height as the stock parts so no difference in the lower roll center. Seem pretty decent.

Thats correct, only one height for the inserts, lower roll center done via spacers like original intent. Samix use the xray inserts with the two variables build in.

They are .5mm lower than the standard blocks

For high bite new CRC black carpet, what rear combo is a good start?

I am going to try the 5.7/5.0 wide front.

Curious on what combo in the rear with 2.5 toe?

For ~2.5 rear toe (or more precise: between ~2.4 and ~2.6, no combo gives exactly 2.5, when calculated), you could use either of the following combinations:

#1: 2.0/5.7 (most commonly used for 2.5 toe)
#2: 2.7/6.4 (for a 0.7mm wider track)

and for even wider track (but these mounts were actually introduced for the use with the shorter arms) you could theoretically (never tried any of these) also use:
#3: 3.5/7.2 (0.8mm wider than #2)
#4: 4.2/7.9 (0.7mm wider than #3)
#5: 5.0/8.7 (0.8mm wider than #4)

Can someone tell me what the overall length of a standard rear suspension arm is please? I have a pair of arms that look short to me. Thanks.
