So I suppose 7.9 minus 4.9 = 3 deg toe?

Evochick, did you ever try out this combo on the track? Any good?

What width does that take the car too?

Cheers.
Oh ok. Good to know. Is this on a 2016 chassis?

Yep tried it on outdoor low grip track but just took too much bite away from the car, would probably work on super low grip, to make more stable and easier to drive but wouldnt be quick. My above setup still works when the track temp was in single digits (its winter here in Sydney)

Thanks Dirk, I read your other comment when you originally posted it, but didn't really take it in, it makes more sense now, thank you.

I'm just trying to line up a few set up changes that I might like to try, and see what gaps I have in the suspension blocks. I note there are a lot of new parts in this area of late (i.e. lowered 1mm blocks, brass blocks, insert type blocks etc), so I'm just trying to get my head round it.

A couple of questions for you Dirk

With the standard rear suspension mount set up, do you know roughly what width you get?

Where do the governing bodies tend to measure track width from? ends of axle - which would be the widest part, or other

What would you expect from a wider rear track width?

Thanks.

Sorry yes about 2mm wider, i also made the front wide as well i think it was 5.0 fr and 5.7 ff

This wide setup is aparently great on carpet for stock, but i am yet to run on carpet.

Thanks Evo. Looking back at what Dirk said on the RF and RR set up, do you think the lack of rear toe hurt you / your set up?

Thanks for the FF & FR combo, I wasn't sure of the combo, but heard same as you. Seems the 419x is rocking a wide front end as standard, so maybe worth trying on asphalt as well?

Yes Chris, a 2016 chassis, but it will translate to all BD7's...although from reading the last few posts, this set up doesn't look advisable!!

Usually more stability, but less grip. Like Evochick said, an option for carpet (one way to avoid traction rolling).

Default 1mm lower suspension mounts

Just wondering about the 1mm lowered suspension mounts coming out. Are these more useful for asphalt setups? It seems like the carpet setups run raised lower roll center settings, so are the standard mounts a better choice for carpet? Thanks

1mm lowered suspension mount lower the roll center of the car which is good for asphalt for more over all grip.

Yep you need a set of the T4 inserts to go with. Not sure about the measurements thought.

Hello!

I have problems with my diff, it sounds like i have sand grinding in them. I dont know why but i have never had this problem before with other brands. I have 2 diffs for my 2016 bd7, and both sound and feel like they have sand in them. I tried changing gears but the same after 1 run.

PLEASE HELP!
cheers//

could be your o-rings are swollen, pressing hard the washer under the pin. I had that same problem and my diffs felt really tight and gritty. My 3k diff felt heavier than a 5k diff from an older car. Upon inspection the metal washer had wide scratch marks which probably caused the rough and heavy feel.

I changed my o-rings from the orange ones to the black ones (BD-500GM) and diffs now feel free with no binding.
