without going too radical with modified parts, I have found the following setup as a good starting point for most tarmac tracks
For a big fast nitro track I usually switch to 15 shocks with the longer shock towers (450 oil HPI silvers). But that's the only change to the starting point.
2 things that really help steering 4.5mm hex's and 1.5mm bump steer.
Removing the inner top deck screws helps overall traction and doesn't seem to effect turn in.
I get to have a drive tomorrow so will be testing some more SMJ spring combo's

Hi,
I've seen some people put a spacer on the top part of the 2016 shock body to prevent the cap from screwing all the way down and which also gives the shock a polished ring look. Would somebody know which size spacer these are or where I can get them?

The Evicerator
Anyone know of a source for pss sleeves/pistons for the 2015/long shocks other than T Works?

I have picked up a second hand 16 car, had 15 before hand. But I have this hinge pin holders and never gone from the kit ones on the 15. But I have a few which came with the deal. But I don't know if they are for the rear or front, anyone help because I have never used this before. But the manual says 43.5mm but they don't say that on the hinge pin holders

5.7
3.5 on the front on both
6.4 on the rear with 2 in the front on the rear of the car
But trying to under stand what it does to front and rear? But when I ask people at my local track are not helpful and don't have time to explain to me what it does. And my car is not as settled as there's, I know I am not the fastest but being lapped 5 times is starting to get dishearting

Many (if not most) setups I found online use 4.2 on FF and 5.7 on RR instead. (putting 0.5 degrees of "toe out" to the front hinge pins - not the wheels) and reducing rear toe-in from 3.0 to 2.5 degrees.
So basically what the different pieces do, is altering the track width and the toe settings of the car.

Raising the roll center will give it less roll, and vice versa....

Thanks Chris, after I posted I decided to stop being lazy and look back through the thread as I recalled seeing something EvoChick posted a while back, she said:
"I can confirm no issues with the 7.9 rr and 4.9 rf combo
Plenty of belt room with diff in high position"
So I suppose 7.9 minus 4.9 = 3 deg toe?
Evochick, did you ever try out this combo on the track? Any good?
What width does that take the car too?
Cheers.

Unfortunately, it's not that easy to calculate, no. See here.
That combination should leave you with quite a bit less toe than 3 degrees, since RF changes by 2,9mmm and RR only by 1,5mm (Change would have to be equal on both to keep the kit's 3 degrees)
Not easy to say, since the toe angle changes, but probably something around 2mm overall width.
Question is: why do you want to widen the rear in the first place?
