Has anybody tested running a diff in the front compared to a spool? And also what's is everyone running for gearing in the stock 17.5 class on carpet?
#4910
17.5 gearing/timing is very much motor and track size/layout dependent. Most of the common motors out there have their own thread. You'll be more likely to get complete info there.

Did some more testing last Friday with the removal of the rear brace,
Our track was a little looser then normal at the beginning of the night and it helped a little, I was able to better by fastest time and overall consistency from the previous week by a 1/10th, The car felt a little more planted, didn't notice any reduced power on traction due to it missing, but I am only running 13.5.
so its something worth trying if traction is down a little.
Beth.

Congrats to Andrew Hardman on his TQ and win at the Halloween Classic in Cleveland, OH this weekend. Watching him hold off Keven for 6 minutes was awesome. I think this is 4 years now that I have known the Hardman's and Cory. Yokomo is lucky to have these 3 guys running for them, true gentlemen and always willing to lend a hand to others.

The 2015 arrived last wednesday but all the options are still on the way
I just couldn't resist not to build the car
So I finally decided to built it and raced it yesterday at my local track
I ran it straight out of the box set up accept taking the rear flex screw and put 1K diff oil in instead of 700cst oil that came with the kit
The car worked awesome! High speed corner grip is fantastic and low speed corner is even better. No sign of nervous whatsoever when I tried to pushed it to the limit on sweeps
I only race touring for almost 3 months now and never ever qualified better than B6 with 17 laps 5.09. With the 2015 I broke my personal record by 18 laps 5.01. Qualified A5 and finished 4th on final
Regardless not won the race yesterday but out of the box BD7 2015 has put me in the A for the first time
By the way, post race inspection shows all parts still in best condition, no diff oil leaks, no shocks oil leaks. Great car!
