I haven't been to my local carpet track (RSD) in months. Went club racing last night and the more I race the car the more I like it. My pace isn't quite there yet, still figuring out a few thing on 16. I believe what Cristian says is correct about spring rate (carpet), car performs well with softer springs within 13.5-14.5 range. I settled with 2.5-2.6 Axon which puts me within those range. 2.5C * 5.71 = 14.275

Thanks for posting this, I'm going to ditch my Spec R one for this! I like the idea of the slot, I feel like with the Spec R rod i'm not putting enough pressure evenly.

Can't live without it, it works perfect. Especially in mod with the larger spurgear.

It's quite sturdy despite of the cut outs, so you can apply a great deal of pressure on it. Feels very solid. I can highly recommend it

Anyways anyone building their SLF II short shocks with zero rebound? I did not do any drilling of hole in plastic shock cap but with the shaft in and held in when putting on the bladder and capping it I get a slow full rebound.
We use the black bladders and drilled caps and still have a very small amount of rebound.

I have the Spec-R one too and it is so small diameter. And I have to move it around to get at the single screw in the middle of the deck on the Tamiya and would be the same here for this car too.

I think the Muchmore Tweakmaster Rod is a bigger diameter from pictures on TQ Racing website it appears. But the $90 price for the glass plate and rod was a little much for me at the time.

I will look at this rod. I have the Avid Acrylic plate for $20 seems to work well and is lightweight for the equipment hauler bag.

What is the diameter of this Vigor one if someone wants to quickly measure and post?

How many different sets of each color did you test out of curiosity? On your chart the older style yellows is coming out softer than the blue.

Great info thanks for sharing :-)

Have you ever tested the Xray short springs?

Would love a comparison

Yokomo springs are almost as accurately matched as XRay

Will go back and check that yellow

Thank you and I appreciate you sharing your data.

Forgot to add, strangely enough I have a set of yellows that feels softer than blues. The rest of my yellows are definitely stiffer than blues.
