No really........

I think whats happening is rally season doesnt begin until march. And because i dont have that much work i can do on my rally car over christmas due to everyone going on holidays i am getting bored and looking for things to do

And then i had to buy a new 13.5 motor because i sold all the ones i had last month....

Just give it a few months retirement will kick in soon because this is just so addictive

The plastic bridge in 2016 kit is 18 cm high like the 2015 alluminium version, so it can't mount...it's not a good thing
sorry but without pictures it was not sure what you were talking about. I was thinking bell cranks that have different part numbers.

I am just building my BD7 2016 and I have a little problem with my Anti-roll bar rod end. When I put it on, it is not moving freely. What can I do?

Default Belt Tensioner

Hi for some reason, the new 16 Conversion kit has reversed the belt tensioner.I still was able to use the 15 tensioner but had to screw the bearing assemble in from the other side and using 3mm spacer(small outside diameter) between the bearings and bracket ,now it looking correct.

Thanks good to know..

I assume they didn't include it as they don't even include it in the full kit either, its probably not needed as much with the belt so low to the top deck ??
and that little extra weight removal.

Yep Evochick,i fitted the Tensioner, but your right, the belt really comes no where near touching the belt, because of the tighter belt wrap,it sits very close to the top deck, infact i think it could polish the top deck where it wraps around the center pully

You're talking about the rear ones? Use the shorter silver ball stud if you have extra instead of the standard black ones. Seems to fit a bit more loosely

Drove the car last night and was still working out some kinks in it. Seems to drive good, has a bit more mid corner steering than I expected. Cristian drove his as well and did the first 38 lap race we have had on the current layout. So its a very fast car. I am sure that once I get the car dialed in, it will be much faster. I haven't driven a TC in a year.

I just drove the BD7 16 yesterday and all I can say is awesome. The peace was on carpet and I ended up mostly just changing the springs to xray ones and changing the front back to 43.9 and the rear toe block to 45.7 and then the car was dialed. BTW this was a small carpet track.

Default This car is good...

Like Bdmpastx said, I had a good shakedown yesterday with the car. Here's my set-up for those that are interested:

http://reflexracing.net/assets/images/bd716_tabush.pdf

My initial impressions are pretty positive. The car has a slight push to it, but still turned the fastest laps of the day with it. Ron Atomic did have a faster overall lap than I did, by 0.03 seconds, but as these guys do travel race, their power program is way better than mine. I think that with a combination of aluminum chassis, some extra tuning time and a new battery, there are 2 tenths left in this car.

There was some really fast guys over yesterday, and recently they had
gotten really close to me to the point that I had been swallowed up by the pack and got a win against them as often as they did. Yesterday I seemed to have find a good pace again and won every heat convincingly because this car is so easy to drive, I was back to being able to run 17.5 TC for 6 minutes without any major mistake.

If I were to describe it, I'd say it drives like a smoother XRAY, with a little more mid corner rotation.

This car is going to be a VERY, VERY fast 17.5 car.

How well does the 2016 car run with stock springs?

I drove the 16 yesterday on a low/medium bite carpet track for the first time and there was noticeably more initial steering than my 15 and the car felt more stable with the new short shocks. Will do more testing Wednesday but so far the car is FAST and easy to drive.

does anybody else run the car with the diffs in the high position? I think it works better but I only got to do a few packs before packing up.
