Totally feel the same as you!

As you all know it is difficult to have an all-round car which will excel in all conditions. Sometimes manufacturers modify a version for certain conditions. This makes it better for those conditions and a little less good for different conditions (low grip/high grip - bumpy surface/flat surface - carpet/asphalt etc.). When you look at the 2015 BD7 the impression you get is that the 2015 was designed for higher grip conditions. Rear brace and motor mount position are good indicators. The 2014 platform which is still available in most stores in my opinion handles better in lower grip conditions. But again that is my opinion.

It's actually pretty easy to make conventional shocks short enough not to be above the wheels. I bet an Xray T4 shot at the same angle wouldn't show any piece of shock tower either.

You seem pretty adamant there won't be a conversion kit and didn't seem to believe me when I told you. Enough proof now?

If you look at the announcement there are two part #'s. One looks to be a conversion kit; B7-16C I think is the part#

The teaser certainly looks interesting. But 43800JPY ... that's 330 Euro... sounds a lot just for the conversion. But let's wait and see what it will really cost in shops in december.

Might that be my next carpet car? I think it might...

Fate imposed on those who continue to run the top, it is that it aims to further heights. BD7 challenge to 2016, overcame a big wall to which it has been built up to now, was to improve both the speed and drivability. World Champion machine BD7 series development that the worked chief mechanic, Umino Kojiro has been painted of the keyword "ultra-low center of gravity". Without having to give a treat to the performance that has been polished in the top of the world of racing scene, it was a bold idea further review fundamentally the machine that had played an already low center of gravity. The diameter of the front and back Defupuri derived from elaborate test is brought, the more equipped with low each part that make up the chassis, ultra-low center of gravity design that allows the overwhelming cornering speed. Further that the diameter and weight of Defupuri is reduced, also exercise the performance of the machine to reduce the gyroscopic effect improved, and added that throttle response is also best, it was a choice that makes sense in many ways. To fit them even shorter overall length shock, and ensure a sufficient damping force can be large diameter. Front universal double joint type is standard equipment on, is also thorough race measures. Of course they are in the selection, which is obtained form precisely because ultra-high-precision chassis of BD7, was thoroughly refined every single part, no exaggeration to say that the realization of the design concept, which is sublimated under perfect balance.

Well, I said that I believed it to bee highly unlikely.

The proof is there, no doubt about it.

But the latest information that indicates radical changes, to which I cannot see many parts left unchanged, and the fact that the conversion kit not only converts the 2015 version to a 2016, but also older versions, even RS, baffles me even more.

Maybe it is not at full conversion, but a conversion with the most significant changes included.
