I see on rcmart's site they have discounted the standard 2015 car down to $399 us. Might this mean something revised or altogether new could be just around the corner?

Whats the ready to race weight of peoples' BD7 15? Mine is almost 1450g, with 30g to balance out the chassis. Seems remarkably heavy to me...

At Reedy my car was 1381g according to their scale. That was with an extra ~50g of weight on the chassis.

1450g seems abnormally high. Something is wrong with your scale. I also had to add 40+ grams to make 1380g on a stock car.

What body is on there
My 13, 14 BDs are just over 1400 with a very bulky NSX concept GT body

I know the scale isn't out but I'm not sure why my car is so heavy either.. Equipment I run:

6300 Lipo (305g)
LRP flow
40mm fan
Team Powers Actinium
Team powers xbooster
LTC-R

I also have TI turnbuckles installed atm. Ordered a TI screw kit as well and I imagine that will bring it down 20g or so...

With the same electronics my BD7 2014 was about 15g heavier than my T4 15.

LW or RW body, how is it painted there can be 50g difference in body weight?

Which servo are you using there can be 10-20g there?

Ditch the xbooster.

Scales have to be out, mine also needs 50g to make weight,

post a photo of your car, doesn't make any sense for it to be that heavy

At the REEDY race using a regular weight LTC, still had to add 20g to make 1380g min
All steel screws on the bottom, ti on top

Of course an aluminum chassis adds weight, I assume you don't have that ?

RW body is 30-40g heavier than a LW.

Ditch the xbooster, go back to the standard cap.

Sit your ESC further away from the center to help balance the car without the use of weights.

yep, what Damian said,
it is most probably just the body shell, I think those servos's are probably a little heavier then say a Futaba, and yeah I think those power booster things are a waste of money, you can save weight by making the wiring neater as well.

For reference mine is 1277 with 50g of weight added.

That 2s2p pack is going to weigh more than regular 2s packs. Also that fan bracket isn't necessary. Just mount it to the chassis. If your running under roar rules that 40mm fan is too big.
