Roche does great stuff. Their spool's also nice. Spec-R DCJ's are also great bang for buck.

If you're going Yokomo now, wait for the new one. And buy a 14 for spares.

Roche DCJ are excellent very strong but the drive shaft pins and spool cups have more wear than I would like.

Mine came with the thinner bearings

I only used the Roche DCJ and spool for a while, then sold that chassis, but I didn't suffer from any visible wear. Ran mod 5.5t. My other (current) car has Yok spool and standard axles up front and I have a bit of spool cup bite marks (still mod, 5.5 and 8.5).
Don't remember though if I had the spring steel outdrives...

I have only driven my BD7 2014 couple of races and won both Modified and stock class. I'm crossing my fingers that their will be an upgrade kit!! I have been pretty heavy racing off-road lately but now one of my local track is switching to day racing and I'm gearing up for on-road fall/Winter season.

If you have a winnig car all dialed up, keep it that way until you're left in smoke.
No need to change a winning car. I still race my '13 because it's great. The day i cant justify repairs or struggle with setups more than I want, I'll change.

They all wear it is just a mater of how fast.

I had probably 3 months of use racing weekly before the pins and spool cups needed replacement.

Spool cups were cheap just a shame the DCJ pins were not able to be replaced.

Roche DJC and spool outdrives for the win !!!! while the yokomo DJC's ore ok, they do eventually break. The Roche spool outdrives do wear much less the yokomo ones.

All hopup parts are ordered and on the way for the new car, just waiting for the release

my 2014 will be religated to VTA use

Beth.

All right guys, while you're considering buying a new 15 I'm considering getting an extra 13 or 14 for spec racing.

Pm with offers if you're willing to ship your old car across the pond. Rollers or ARR doesn't matter.
