Maybe ... We were searching for the kit hard in Japan and RCMarket, RCmart et Banzai doesn't have it ...

RCMart also delete it from his website ...

But I would be very shock if that was truth ...

They may think : I stop producing blue parts so others cars stop running my parts

I remember Yokomo Malaysia saying that the Black Edition was no longer a limited edition due to it's popularity. What if Yokomo switched to black? hehe I guess they have finally gone to the dark side. The circle is now complete!

Cool

Blue BD-7 2014, available at these fine retailers

There is a notice on the Yokomo sight about prices going up next month
It is also quite common for Yokomo to fall behind on kit production, similar to Tamiya in that regard

The prices are going up due to a sales tax increase from 5% to 8% and I think in November or the following year it will reach 10%. Yokomo and other Japanese products will go up in price.

Also, I've searched around (I current reside in Japan) and it seems like there is some truth behind the bd7 2014 being sold only in black. But, there are stores with blue bd7's in stock. Hopefully, Yokomo will continue to stick with their traditional blue anodizing.

Ok guys I picked up a used BD7 2014. I never really pay attention to the shocks the last couple of times I run but is long shocks standard and not the short shocks?

Long is the kit setup, yes
And it is also the primary setup for the Team drivers, quite rare to see them run short shocks

So I want to make sure that Banzai Hobby understood my question si I insisted and ask when they will be able to restock the blue version and there the answer :

Quote:
No, they have decided to stop producing the blue edition unfortunately. We're not totally sure why. As I say, the Black one is still in production if your friend is interested in that instead,
Take that for what is worth ...

They've probably halted the production of the blue kits until all the black kits have been "flushed out" of the system. This is all speculation.

Follow up on the diff orings, after 12 runs there are no signs of leaking from the P5 orings.

I built my bd7 and am having trouble with the rear diff. I sanded the gears before assembly and it is still really tight. Also there were no shims on the 4 spyder gears. Is this correct?

Do you have a copy of the Build Manual with your kit ?

Are you using the kit orings? If so, try the Kyosho P5 orings. For me it took out the binding/tight feel of the outdrives. My diff has had a few months on them and run every weekend with no problems at all. Nice and much smoother than kit built.
