Hi guys,

Is this the best basic setup for the BD 2014 for asphalt?

I started with that setup except 4 deg caster. Same body and sorex 36r tyres. No good.

That setup is from before yokomo really got the car going on asphalt. I've had good results with Ronald's setup from the Euros. I'm running this with LTC and 0mm shims under the rear blocks

Wait... you got the more expensive (in most shops here in Europe at least, as far as I could see) black version and now want to spend even more money to convert it to blue?

If you really want to... check this site for parts:

.teamyokomo.eu/yokomo-europe/eshop/32-1-BD7-2014-Spare-Option-Parts/123-2-Spare-Parts-B7-2014-BLUE

Can't post any links yet, so just put a www in front of the first "."

Getting all the blue parts will cost you around the same as the complete blue kit though... so I wouldn't recommend that conversion. In that case I'd sell the black (via eBay for example) and just buy the blue. But in the end, it's your call to make.

Which Yokomo Springs are best to have for asphalt racing? & shock oils? I already have HPI silver.
I race in the Netherlands (HFCCracing track), 15-30 celsius outdoor. Low-medium grip, fast track.

Thx!

Xenon and Panaracers both work.

Looking at the BD-7 RS kit, and am wondering if the setups from the BD-7 '14 kit would work? Looking at the 2 kits, minus bling of CF and anodized aluminum parts, I can not see where there are any differences in tuning parts, so I assume they will work.

Anyone have experience with this?
