I have some of the thin black (single 0-ring spacer) if someone wants to trade for stock ones. They were built into a set of shocks that I never used. I was told they are good for carpet or high-bite.

Does anyone know a trick on how to beef up the spool pulleys (plastic is too soft)? The screws kept backing out despite a generous amount of loctite.

Were they backing out before the loctite was applied? Most plastics don't get along with loctite and it can soften them up.

Never use locktite on plastic

Try a new gear now that that one has been chemically altered

Pretty sure he meant he's loctited the screws into the spool body, not the plastic pulley…

I've used some cap head allen screws out of an old spool I had, seems to have done the trick.

I used the loctite on the screws / spool body.

It was applied on the spool body. I ordered a few M2 cap head screws. Now if I can only find pulleys somewhere here in the US before the tamiya race this Saturday.

Does anyone have a spare they want to sell to this poor soul? I will gladly purchase it above the regular price if it need be.

I really have no idea why Yokomo went with m2 screws instead of the traditional m3s .

hi all,

If I want to have more steering lets say turning right which steering knuckle will affect more that the inside right that have 30 deg our outside left that have 16 deg.

meantime I have added shims in the middle bracket and it did a very small change from inside wheel keep 30 deg and outside increased from16 to 18 deg will that affect that much.

Noticed when the outside wheel achieve 16 deg the inside wheel was near 20 deg and the last movement only moved the inside to 30 deg is that normal?

what are you guys using on the steering how may I do same deg on inside and outside wheel?

When I add to much steering the car just stops in the corner like the drive shafts locked

You're observing the "Ackerman effect". You don't want the same angle on both sides because the outside of the car turns in a wider arc than the inside, which is why the inside wheel is made to turn tighter. If they were the same you'd just have massive tyre scrub.
It's a very sensitive adjustment so you don't want to go too far from the kit settings.
